GLIMPSE of heaven - Adri Du Preez

 Hello everyone!

Welcome to the blog today. My June design team layout features beautiful Dusty Attic chipboard pieces.

This is a photo of my little grandson Janco and my granddaughter Mila when he was only a few days old. This was love at first sight. They are best friends and love each other dearly.

Here is my layout.

All the chippies were first covered with a layer of white acrylic paint, and then painted with Americana Acrylic paint.

The beautiful and perfect title, Foliage F10, and the Word Disk, Hello World were heat embossed with white embossing powder.

The Foliage #4 Heart Attack Panel was painted in Boysenberry Pink, and Poodleskirt Pink. I snipped it in five pieces and tucked them under the flower clusters.

I inked the bird nests with Chocolate Versa Magic Ink and the edges in Slate Grey. The eggs were painted with white acrylic paint and Slate Grey.

These stunning Wordpl@y elements were dry brushed with white gesso, Boysenberry Pink, and Poodleskirt Pink.

I painted the tap in Grey Storm and Grey Sky and dry brushed them with white acrylic paint.  I popped some of the hearts out of the panel and glued them like water drops dripping from of the tap.

I painted the Cogs in Grey Storm and Grey Sky and dry brushed them with white acrylic paint.

Some close-ups.

The final touches to this layout included, pearl beads, glitter, and splatters with diluted white gesso.

I Love you xoxo - Adri Du Preez

 Hello everyone!

In today's post, I am sharing my Design team layout with you, using stunning
Dusty Attic chipboard pieces. These are my precious grandchildren, Janco and Mila.
They just love one another.

I used the Tender Moments paper from the 49 and Market Rouge collection.

Here is my layout.

All the chippies were first covered with a layer of white acrylic paint and then painted
with Americana Acrylic paint.

I painted the  Botanical Ringlet with Poodleskirt Pink, and dry brushed the edges with
white acrylic paint.

Boysenberry Pink, Bubble Gum Pink, and Poodleskirt Pink were used on the Heart
Attack panel, Wordpl@y, and Banners.  The edges were all dry-brushed with white
acrylic paint.

Leaves #2 were heat embossed with white embossing powder.
Foliage # 10 was painted in Mint Julep Green.

Wordpl@y words are my favorite additions to a layout.

I dry-brushed them with Bubblegum white acrylic paint.

Some close-ups.

A Girl and her Dog - Belinda Spencer - Mood Board Inspiration

 Hello Dusty Attic fans!

It's Belinda here with you today to share my layout inspired by the gorgeous February Mood Board using lots of fun Dusty Attic products.

Here's a peek at the Mood Board

'A Girl and her Dog'

For this layout I started by adding some stencilling to the background patterned paper using the Heart Attack Stencil with white gesso. The white spots on the paper made the love hearts look weird so I used a fineliner pen to add an outline.

Next I created a stack of co-ordinating patterned paper, a torn piece of the corrugated card and a Grid Panel at the bottom. I tore the edges of the grid panel away in places to give it a more rustic look.

Next I painted the chipboard pieces that I wanted coloured. I gave those pieces a couple of coats of gesso first. Then I mixed up some acrylic paint to match the mood board and applied that to select pieces.

Finally I assembled my layout adding my photo and some extra embellishments.

Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today. I hope you find some time to play with the mood board and some awesome Dusty Attic chipboard too.

Cheers
Belinda

Anniversary Card set - Ankarika Craft - Mood Board inspiration

  Hi there!

Today I'd love to present you twins in brown and beige. I received a fairly pleasant order as this time I was able to go wild with my liking. The client asked for two romantic wedding anniversary cards, in delicate colours, with 3D flowers. Inside, there are naturally personalized wishes and other touches that are tailored to the people to whom they ultimately ended up. At the front, meanwhile, you can observe the style and solutions that are close to my artistic heart.

On this occasion, I'd like to ask you if you often fulfill orders on the occasion of wedding anniversary? This is very interesting to me, as I notice that handicraftsmen often focus on a strict topic. For example, I mainly create for weddings, anniversaries, moving, new homes or the birth of a child. I like these topics, I feel at ease and I have no problem with doing another unique card, despite the fact that I have already done quite a lot of them. For some reason unknown to me, people who are looking for a card for baptism, birthdays or all kinds of holidays do not come to me. I do not regret that, but it is a bit puzzling. What is the reason why another person is only carrying out assignments for baptism or birthdays? Perhaps a potential client looks at my SM and, seeing only such works, comes to the conclusion that I apparently do not deal with other topics? I'm happy to read your ideas, please share your thoughts with me in a comments below. Let's begin now!

100% Girl - Adri Du Preez

 Hello everyone!

I hope you are all well and keeping safe.

I am sharing my August design team layout with you, using beautiful Dusty Attic chipboard designs.  You have to check out the beautiful new Over the Rainbow release.  It is truly amazing and Jennifer Hedger is so creative!

I just adore these photos of my granddaughter Mila.  She is such a poser and loves being photographed.

Here is my layout.

All the chippies were first covered with a layer of white gesso.

For the Ombre effect on this beautiful title, I used Americana Acrylic paint in Bubble Gum Pink and Bahama Blue.  The little hearts from the Heart Attack Panel were also painted with Bahama Blue.  Here you can also see how I used the Mini Tab and Quoted Sentiment.

I painted the Decorative Frame with Americana Acrylic paint in White Wash and made sure not to cover the detail on this beautiful frame.

The Foliage #26 were painted with Americana Acrylic paint in Light Lime and Boysenberry Pink.

I dabbed the Foliage #27 with Versa Magic Chalk Ink in Aloe Vera and dry brushed with white gesso. I painted the two Heart Strings with Americana Acrylic Paint in Bubble Gum Pink and Boysenberry Pink and dry brushed the edges with white gesso.

Some close ups.

The final touches to this layout included pearl beads, glitter and splatters with diluted white gesso.
