But first COFFEE - Lynette Jacobs

Lynette here, welcome to the blog today.  I have the pleasure of sharing some inspiration for December.  Today I am documenting my love for coffee.

Chipboard used for this project:

Some close up details:
I used all the leaves in the Sturt desert pea set and painted them with acrylic paint. I stamped some coffee stains onto my background with Distress Oxide Inks.

The coffee cup was heat embossed with white embossing powder and a puffy navy heart layered over it.

I heat embossed the "coffee" word with copper embossing powder and added puffy "but first" alphabet stickers to the title.

Another little floral cluster at the top with some of the Sturt pea leaves.

Some more coffee "stains" peeking out from under the third floral cluster.

Happy - Belinda Spencer - Mood Board Inspiration

 Hello Dusty Attic fans!

It's Belinda here today to share my last post for 2021! Today I have a layout to share with you inspired by the stunning December Mood Board.

Here's a peek at the mood board:

'Happy'

I started my layout by adding some stencilling to the background patterned paper using the Confetti # 2 Stencil with white gesso. I used a latex make-up wedge to apply the gesso through the stencil. Once the gesso was dry I added a couple of colour sprays over the top.

While I waited for the background to dry, I gave all of my chipboard pieces a few coats of gesso (about 3) and let them dry. I decided that I wanted some of the pieces to be gold so I took them outside and gave them a good coat of gold spray paint.

Next I layered all of my patterned paper pieces together and added my photo to the page.

Then I added all of my chipboard pieces.

I finished with the remaining stickers and fussy cut butterflies.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today. I hope you find some time in this silly season to play along with the mood board too.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Wonderful Memories - Adri Du Preez - Mood Board Inspiration

 Hello everyone!

My layout was inspired by the beautiful December mood board featuring Dusty Attic chipboard pieces.  This mood board is STUNNING, to say the least.  Remember you have until the end of December to participate in the challenge. It's hard to believe this is my last layout for Dusty Attic in 2021!  I look forward to the mood board challenges for 2022, they are amazing!

Here is the mood board.

and here is my layout.

White gesso was first applied to all the chippies.

Foliage F28 and F26 were painted with Americana Acrylic paint in Mint Julep Green and the berries were heat embossed with Zing embossing powder in Mustard.
Leaves #2 were heat embossed with Ranger embossing powder in Terra Cotta.

For the title, I used American Acrylic paint in Peaches 'n Cream and Primary Yellow. Creating your own title is easy and fun using the Word Packs.

The beautiful Lacey Trims were painted in white acrylic paint.

Here you can see how I used the word tab and tag.

The final touches to this layout included art stones and splatters with diluted white gesso.
