Best Friends - Kerstin Filou

Hello creative friends!

Today a new layout which reminds me on a wonderful summer time at the beach.
We were often at the dog beach and all darlings were there totally enthusiastic and fully in their element.

some close up's

I have used some gorgeous new release dog chippies  to complete my natural embellishing of the layout.

One of my favourite techniques to painting chipboards is  to use the ombre effect.

I begun with a dark blue acrylic paint, then a middle blue and a very softly blue shades
The colours should be similar in strength to achieve the ombre look, apply the colours one after the other and blur with a wet brush.

A base coat with white acrylic paint to keep colors bold is always recommended

I also did a little dry brushing of white gesso over the top.

With a simple frame the layout gets a face and can be used as a new home decoration on the wall

Many thanks for your visit!

Happy crafting!

Balade en foret (Forrest walk) - Jenny Jacques

Hello Dusty FANattics

A few weeks ago, I was at a photoshoot with my fiance and this pic is my favorite one.

I thought that the colors goes pretty well with those paper from LemonCraft and that was I was inspired by...

It was quite quick this layout: clear gesso on the background paper, then, 3D paste with the Leaves#3 stencil and heat dryed everything.  A little bit of colors with 2 different sprays, added some drops and I was ready to build my focal point.  We can't see the stencil much on the final result but you will have a small idea on the next pic, left of the green foliage.

My picture was on layers of papers and cardboard to add some dimension.  My fancy frame #7 was heat embossed with embossing enamel and displayed over my picture.

I added some Prima's flowers and put my title from French mini caption #5 on top of them.

Completed my idea with some French wordplay and French wordplay #2: they are simply lightly painted with white ink.

Hope you'll like it as much as I do.

You can click on the name of the products in the post: they will directly lead you to the store.

Few days left to play with us on the blog with the gorgeous moodboard inspiration.

Mine will be showed here shortly.

Have a nice day xx

You stole my Heart - Julia Ost - Mood Board Inspiration

Hello dear friends!

I have a new moodboard layout of month today.

I used beautiful paper from AB.Studio and beautiful chipboard from Dusty Attic.

This big frame became the foundation of my multilayered composition.
I toned it with  crackle paint and it looks more vintage now.
Then I took another frame for my photo.I placed it in the middle of the composition where it looks perfectly!
After this I worked with different materials and composed my multilayered layout.
Chipboard from Dusty Attic perfectly matched my layout!

I hope you enjoy my new inspiration.

Cheers,
