 Hello, dear friends! When I saw our new October mood board I can't stop thinking about pink color and softness of roses so it finally inspired me to create the most tender envelopes I ever made.

A few weeks ago I arranged a family photoshoot with Zelda Terblanche Photography. Apart from having fun and spending time with our son Francois who came for the first visit in nearly two years, I now have some beautiful photos to scrap!!!

This is a photo of the two girls giving each other the Basson sibling signature greeting!

For this Dusty Attic Moodboard page I used a sheet of AB Studio paper, First Meeting from the Versailles collection.

I placed a piece of the Mini Number Panel behind an ATC Frame. All my chipboards were Gesso'd. I then inked the ATC and the Clouds with Tibetan Poppy Teal and Tiffany's Blue Sprays from Lindy's Stampgang. I also swiped some Mint Sparkle Wax from Finnabair on them. I chalked the edges with Forrest Moss Distress inks.

I mixed a little Fire Opal Color Glow powder from 13@rts with Liquid Acrylic Medium for the Roman Numerals.

On the leaves and Mystic Frame I used Leaf Green Acrylic Paints from DecoArt and Cadence. The same colour name but they look different in shade! I then randomly sprinkled Aged Taupe Embossing Enamel from Stampendous and Heat set it. I layered it all with some flowers and Cut outs from AB Studio paper. I also added some Glitter and sequences.

The Title and the Hearts Banner I colored with Crushed Olive Paint from Dusty Attic and embossed it with Speckled Egg Distress Embossing Glaze from Tim Holtz.

Hello Dusty FanAttics! I have been itching to do a canvas for a while now. So I stopped procrastinating and just did it!! This Industrial style layout features a whole bunch of colour layering using fabric, lace, metals, cabochons and flowers PLUS our Dusty Attic Chipboard to bring it to life! I'm planning on doing this in an upcoming class if you want to have a go at trying it for yourself. This style is super easy with the right background and Dusty Chippy is the perfect platform to build your own masterpiece!

Thinking of You - Tina Ollett

 Hello and welcome back Dusty friends. Today I have a shabby chic romantic themed layout to share 

with you today. I hope you enjoy it.

This project was really a labour of love. I wanted to make something shabby and pretty and I think I come up pretty close to that with my layout above. I have used the gorgeous collection of Miles Apart to make lots of layers and I combined this with the Dusty Chipboards to give even more layers. You will see at the end of my post the close-ups of the layers. This is something that I really enjoy doing these days, and while it is not everyone's cup of tea I love being able to add these kinds of details to my projects to enhance the photos of my memories. 

My first piece of Dusty was the gorgeous Vintage Frame. This is also a big favourite of mine. And with most of my Dusty I love to cut them sometimes to change them up a little. This has been cut in half, dressed with relief paste sanded and embossed and layered up amongst the papers and fussy cut elements. You can see below in the photo of this piece.

Another favourite that I use quite often is the Window and shutters . This time around I have used it in such a way that it helps to frame my photo. I wanted to keep with the shabby chic theme so I simply painted and sanded this piece. Again it was layered amongst the layers of papers and embellishments.

on top of this piece as you will see in the above photo I have layered this with a small charm that was coloured with white acrylic paint and then the Dusty Attic chipboard from the Roman Numerals pack. 

The Fancy Trim #16 chipboard was used coming out from under the photo. I used these pieces sitting back to back and layered another piece of distressed paper over the top of it. 

You will also see to the left of the photo the use of the gorgeous ATC frame... yet another well used piece that I favour to use quite often. 

I layered up this piece using paper from the Maja collection to sit behind the frame and then a fussy cut element to sit inside the frame. I added in some muslin and flower pearls to keep with the theme and to keep it pretty.

Capture this moment - Farrel Tailor

Hi there Dusty Attic Fans, Farrel here to share a project I created a few months ago for some classes I taught at a retreat in Bruce Rock. I was given a Kaisercraft MDF round plaque to alter and this is what I created.

This project is all about layers and chipboard. I used a few products including tissue paper to create texture to the background and I painted all chipboard with black gesso. I used Art Alchemy Waxes (Old Silver, Blue Velvet & Satin Turquoise) on the chipboard and Frank Garcia Memory Hardware Artisian Powder in Trianon Patina on the MDF board.

I also used Prima Art Stones and I created the half domes with resin and molds.
