Illuminated Bottle - Kerstin Filou

Hi creative friends!

I was inspired to create another
illuminated glass bottle in altered art.

Tutorial

1 choose some chipboards I used a
border and a flourish element

glue a piece of cheesecloth and
the chipboards with construction

adhesive on the glass
bottle

2 create a pillar gate and a
little mermaid with airdrying modeling

clay and silicone cake moulds,

2a I love to use some leftovers
from the chipboards (here the

bottom conclusion)
borders are used on

the sides

3 glued the gate and also
added some shells and two pieces of driftwood as entrance steps
afterwards the

bottle was completely covered with crackle medium 'Weathered wood'
(DecoArt)

4 after drying covered with a
chalky finish paint for glass 'Relic' (DecoArt)

let it dry for a few hours

5 now two wax cremes 'Lavish
Green' and 'Brilliant Turquoise'

6 dry brush
technique with white gesso to lighten the dark colour

finally added the little
mermaid

some close up's

chipboards can be bent around the
bottle very well

after a light moistening with
water

here can you see the used leftovers as
sea waves

on the bottle sides

Cherish - Kristy Abela - Mood Board Inspiration

Its July already! Another moodboard challenge is here. From this one I took those delicate colours and mixed them with another delicacy, Taashi. My baby grew her wings last month and this one is for her.

I used the baroque flourish in another layout as wings and these ones are the larger pair. Clever huh? Just goes to show your imagination is the only limitation.

I used some flat coloured embossing powder to make the title stand out

and a shimmery colour of embossing powder for the bluebells.

To create the background I used some of the washi tape from the same paper range.

I added some modelling paste, embossing powder (heat set it) and then some stamping.

I used the die cuts from the paper pack and layered them and the chipboard among the rungs on the ladder.

Here I used some crayon to highlight the background.

Live for the moment - Julia Ost - Mixed Media Canvas

Hello dear friends!

I love creating vintage projects where I build up layers, paste cracks to compose a layout made of favorite ptoducts. This time I have a triangular canvas with patina and multilayeredness made with Dusty Attic chipboard, paper and toppings.

First I toned my layout and covered it with texture paste through the stencil with crackle effect. After that I used Lindy’s spray, wax, oil paint and structuring mixture from Stamperia to work on the texture of the layout.

Then I used the chipboard that I painted the same colour as my layout is, added some paper elements from Ab.studio and completed it with аrt stone from Primamarketing.

I also planned to have an eye in my project, but decided to save it for some other time.

Instead I have a beautiful butterfly fluttering over my project!
