Delight - Jen Burns - Mood Board Inspiration

Hello Dusty FANattics

Today I would like to share my take on the August Mood Board with this layout of my gorgeous Grand Daughter, she is just so sweet, sassy and a delight !!

I started with the ever so pretty colours and hues that took me to these photos taken at the park with the blue sky in the background. She was having fun scattering the leaves and making a mess so I wanted to use multiple photos.

To make the main photograph stand out I built a swag of flowers, foliage and leaves around it adding the mini wrought iron fence to the bottom of the photo and the heart banner at the bottom of the swag.

How super cute are the layered gnomes? I had to use one on this layout, I just love the extra beard piece that sits ontop and gives it lots of dimension!
I painted him white then added the colour using water colour paint and pens. Adding one of the ATC frames behind gave him a way to stand out from the flowers.

I have then added the title of the page.

The cute little leaves under the flowers at the bottom are from a mixed sheet of three different types of leaves, I have just used ink pads to colour them.

There are so many foliage pieces to choose from on the online store, I have used "Foliage #24" to complete the floral arrangement and the shape of the swag.

I hope that this has inspired you to enter the challenge for your chance to win one of two $50 (AUD) credits to the Dusty Attic online store.

It is so easy to enter, just put your take of the Mood Board in the comments section on the Dusty FANattics Facebook page HERE.

Amazing Day Card set - Patricia Basson

Good day dear Dusty and Blog friends...

Today as my Dusty Attic Blogpost I am sharing two easy to construct, but still gorgeous, cards with you.
This is not a long post but I do hope it will inspire the crafters who might not have much time too craft to give these lovely cards a go...

On my White cardstock base I used two layers of papers from 49 & Market The Vintage Artistry Natural collection. I distressed the papers, added some stenciling and also used Roughly Sewn Rub-ons.
The Queen Vintage Frames by Nuneka were simply embossed with Mixed Media Iron Age embossing powder from Cosmic Shimmer.
The Card sentiments were Gesso'd and the edges embossed with three layers of Vintage Beeswax embossing powder from Emerald Greek.

I used two Prima Resin frames that I coloured with Graphite Wax and highlighted with Bronze Age and Rose Gold waxes.
A crochet doily and flower are added to finish of the cards...

I do hope that these cards will have you hopping to the Dusty Attic On-line shop to shop up a storm.

May the sun shine, all day long,
everything go right, and nothing wrong.
May those you love bring love back to you,
and may all the wishes you wish come true!

Precious and Perfect - Anat Weksler - Mood Board Inspiration

 Hello dear friends!

It's Anat here  with a set of Mixed Media cards inspired by the amazing August Moodboard.

This fabulous image and colors on August MoodBoard really touched me! I decided to make a set of cards which background is created mostly with papers. I wanted to achieve a deep feminine look with touch of vintage. For that I have chosen a chipboard pieces in a mix of styles and as my usual treated them with varios pastes, rubbing with metalique waxes and adding sprinkle of glitter.

Here are the chippies used:

Explore - Rikki G

Hi how are you? Have you ever had an idea of what you want to do but instead it has evolved and changed in a pleasant surprise? Well this is my surprise, I had a layout in mind but then couldnt find the right photo and and then I had the background sorted so then shuffled things back and forward and then changed it all wasnt right and this went on for hours.

 Am I the only one?

Then after a walk I came back and decided to play with just the shapes and Industrial Boarders and then my Tim Holtz oxides - Spiced Marmalade, Ground Expresso, Crackling Campfire, Chipped Sapphire, Salvaged Patina.

Just swipe your colours on, dabbing them in different sections....

To finish off I used some Art Stones and some Lindys Stamp Gang mists just dropped onto spots to give you that highlight Teal pop.

I hope thats inspired you to get a little mess and give things a go, sometimes whats in our head is good but what things evolve into are even better.
