Slimline card set - Deb Stephens - Mood Board Inspiration

Hello Dusty Friends and welcome to the Blog today! 

Here, I am sharing two slimline cards I made using the colour palette from the October Mood Board as inspiration.

I used gorgeous 49 and Market paper with some stacked stitched border dies to make these 2 cards, one for a Wedding and one for a Birthday.

On card 1, I used the DA1311 Dragonflies stencil, DA3256 Heart Clusters chipboard, DA1443 Bands of Love Chipboard and from the DA2969 Card sentiments #2 black, came the chipboard sentiment.

On card 2, I used DA1708 Leaves #2 stencil, DA2234 Foliage #15 chipboard and finished with another sentiment from DA2969 Card sentiments #2 black.

It all came together so beautifully on both cards with some embossing, glass painted pebbles, art stones, pearls, glitter, paint splashes and flowers.

Card Set - Patricia Basson

I am back again with two cards created as my Dusty Attic Blogpost for the month.

I used papers from 49 & Market, Coral an Sage Mini collections 6x6 as well as some Laser Cut-outs.

I wanted the frames to look antique without using many products or techniques. First of all the chipboard was primed with white Gesso. I achieved this look by painting Lindy's Stampgang Starburst Sprays onto the frames. The trick is to put a good amount of spray on, I use a paintbrush, and then dry it with a Heatgun moving the paint around. Continue doing this putting paint down in random spots and drying in between. The micas in the paint form beautiful borders resulting in interesting designs. On this frame as well as the title I used Magnolia Magenta Gold Spray. 

 

On the Twine Bows and Mini Hearts I used Art Alchemy Waxes, Shabby Pink, Fire Red and Old White.

 

On this gorgeous one the colors are Tibetan Poppy Teal Spray with Sage Leave, Fire Ruby and Old White waxes.

Two beautiful Be-jeweled flowers (from Prima I think ), some Chunky Glitter and the cards are done!

Wedding Cards - Ankarika Craft

 Hi there,

I'm sitting at my desk and I'm going to describe to you the cards that were given to two different couples on the occasion of the wedding. I enjoy doing two works similar to each other but with many differences. This is my own challenge: to meet the expectations of my clients, to satisfy my own artistic preferences, to make two similar but different works that together will be nicely presented in the photo - so they are to complement each other and create a harmonious duo. Often these requirements are accompanied by, for example, the colours imposed by the current challenge on the Dusty Attic blog - but not this time. Considering that for about a year I have been working almost exclusively with papers from two Margaret Paper Design's collections, this is also quite a challenge.. And recently there have been other nice challenges in our group, in which I also try to take part.

Okay - I had a need to appreciate myself a bit, but now we're getting down to work.
