Always be Yourself - Patricia Basson

Hello to all my Dusty Attic friends...

Hope you are all still doing fine during these crazy times.

Thankfully we have Art and creativity to keep us sane nowadays and of course lovely, gorgeous Dusty chipboards!!!

Today I used Mintay Papers for this page. I used papers from the Love Letters collection.

I gesso'd the Mystic Frame and added some Cosmic Shimmer Lava Paste that I heatset with the Heat Tool for some texture. Next I colored it with Stamperia Glamour Paste; Ancient Pink. I mixed a little Old White and Patina Matt Waxes from Finnabair and highlighted the raised areas.
The three Hexagon Frame shapes were embossed with Mint Chip Embossing powders from Ranger.

Hand-stitching, sequences, lace and different flowers and some 'Say it with Pearls' from Prima add details to my page.

From the Dusty Attic On-line store I used the following.

Thank you for the visit, stay safe and stay healthy.

I just wanna make nice things - Patricia Basson

Hello Dusty friends...

With the Year running out at the speed of light, I am sharing my last Personal post for 2019!!!

I created two very textured Tags, filled with yummy Dusty chipboards and different textures from my newest embossing powders! We have puffy fun squishy texture on the Squiggly frames , soft velvety texture on the Broken bits, multicolored awesomeness on the frames and  heavenly waxy goodness on the rest of the Tags!!!

I used papers from AB Studio's Enchanted Flowers collection. Some tags from the Bonus page and two flowers from Poisonous Flowers sheet.

On the Squiggly Frames I used Lava Paste from Cosmic Shimmer. What a fun product and a little goes so far. I just dabbed a little on with my finger and watched the magic appear when heated with a Heat tool. I colored it with some 13arts Olive Green ink. The Triangle frames were embossed with Iron Age embossing powder also from Cosmic Shimmer. Both Broken pieces, Diamonds and Distressed Grid were embossed with Emerald Creek Baked texture: Chunky Rust.

On the Hexagon Frames I used Ranger Lavender Speckle Embossing Powder. I am such a big lover of these multi colored / grained embossing powders for they give the most amazing textures and interest to my chipboard and projects!

On the background I used Vintage Beeswax and Ancient Amber Baked Texture Embossing Powders.

All my Dusty Attic Chipboard are available from the Dusty Attic on-line store...

Uke Girl - Belinda Spencer

Hi Dusty Attic fans!

Belinda here today to share my November project which is a layout featuring a lovely mix of new and slightly older fabulous chipboard pieces.

'Uke Girl'

I was inspired by the awesome background paper from Flutterby Designs to use the stunning NEW Get Framed - Hexagons. They are so cool!! I love all of the different sizes and widths combined toger as well as the one solid hexagon from the middle of the set. I simply painted them with a few coats of heavy white gesso to work with my colour theme of kraft, pink and white.

I have layered up with patterned papers, tags and those super cute chipboard Mini Banners. How adorable are they? They would look so cute on birthday party pages for little ones too. Here I have painted one with the same gesso and the other with one coat of gesso and three coats of Dusty In Colour Dusty Pink. I painted the NEW Mini Brackets with the same combo of gesso and pink paint as well as the Mini Dots that I have scattered across the page.

I have been saving this stunning Feather Charm for just the right project and this was it! I painted it with the white gesso (3 coats again) and then added the pink painted Mini Dots on top.

Thanks for stopping by the blog and checking out my project this month. I hope you are feeling inspired to get scrapping with your Dusty Attic goodies.

Cheers

Promenade - Jenny Jacques

Hey all Dusty FANattics!

Already October and here is my personnal inspiration with a pic of my fiance in our summer vacations.  Don't want them to end ;)

So. to build this layout, I'd simply add more texture on my background paper with

Chicken wire stencil and black ink.  Covered it with clear gesso and build my focal point with pieces of paper, cardboard and displayed it over some Get Framed Hexagon (painted in black and then, dry brushed with a blue sparkling spray).

My title was also paint in black but this time, simply added a touch of pigment powder.  Those chippies came from the French mini words 3 set.  Below the title, a piece of French wordplay painted in black also.  To complete my clustering, I've add some flowers and obviously, some beautiful Dusty Attic's  foliage chippies as Tropical foliage #6 and foliage #20 (those are heat embossed with a blue-green powder).   As my final touch, I've splatter some white drops and glued some art stones to add some dimensions.  Hope you like it as much as I do!

Now. here are the Dusty Attic's products used on this layout
