I just wanna make nice things - Patricia Basson

Hello Dusty friends...

With the Year running out at the speed of light, I am sharing my last Personal post for 2019!!!

I created two very textured Tags, filled with yummy Dusty chipboards and different textures from my newest embossing powders! We have puffy fun squishy texture on the Squiggly frames , soft velvety texture on the Broken bits, multicolored awesomeness on the frames and  heavenly waxy goodness on the rest of the Tags!!!

I used papers from AB Studio's Enchanted Flowers collection. Some tags from the Bonus page and two flowers from Poisonous Flowers sheet.

On the Squiggly Frames I used Lava Paste from Cosmic Shimmer. What a fun product and a little goes so far. I just dabbed a little on with my finger and watched the magic appear when heated with a Heat tool. I colored it with some 13arts Olive Green ink. The Triangle frames were embossed with Iron Age embossing powder also from Cosmic Shimmer. Both Broken pieces, Diamonds and Distressed Grid were embossed with Emerald Creek Baked texture: Chunky Rust.

On the Hexagon Frames I used Ranger Lavender Speckle Embossing Powder. I am such a big lover of these multi colored / grained embossing powders for they give the most amazing textures and interest to my chipboard and projects!

On the background I used Vintage Beeswax and Ancient Amber Baked Texture Embossing Powders.

All my Dusty Attic Chipboard are available from the Dusty Attic on-line store...

Evening by the Sea - Kerstin Filou - Mood Board inspiration

Hello creative friends!

A new moodboard which reminds me on beautiful sunset's by the sea.

'Evening by the Sea'
I use two photo's from the Baltic sea, where I love to spend our holidays.
There are no palm trees but a beautiful sandy beach where you can walk with your dog for hours.
This is true recreation and pure relaxation for us.

Unfortunately we can't go there every year and so I like to remember this time while doing handicrafts. This is one of the reasons why I love scrapbooking so much.
The use of Dusty Attic chipboards make the projects more vivid and interesting.

You can find a lot of natural style elements under Beach, Fishing, Nautical and Tropical.

Find Yourself - Cindy Wille - Video Tutorial

Hi everyone! I'm back with a post for you guys with some super pretty chipboard pieces by The Dusty Attic. I've created two fun and pretty easy mixed media tags using embossing powders, paints and waxes.

I'm totally in the summer mood and love creating ocean themed pieces. Although I also like to create these in the winter...lol. I just like the ocean theme I guess ;). I've melted some embossing enamel on the DA chipboard and added another layer of pretty Angel Wings embossing powder. Perfect! I love the sparkly multi-colored effect!

I've created a video for you guys as always, so you can watch the whole process.  I would love to see you subscribe to my channel of course :)! Check out the video below or watch it on YouTube.

I've used several pieces of Dusty Attic chipboard pieces and a stencil on these tags. You can see the Dusty Attic products I've used down below and follow the link to the store by clicking on the images.

Thank you so much for stopping by and have a great day!

Tag set - Cindy Wille, June Mood Board inspiration - Video Tutorial

I've used ocean themed castings and matched them with my Dusty Attic chippies to create this pretty grey and gold theme for the tags. Something completely different than I would normally create for a beach / ocean theme.

I've created a video for you guys to watch the whole process. And I would love for you to subscribe to my channel of course :)!

Smile and Laugh - Patricia Basson

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY
to everyone that is celebrating today
Love Jennifer and the Dusty Team

Hi and Hello again Blog friends....

Today I share two Tags created for Dusty Attic this month. I really love making Tags for it is the perfect size to play around with all kinds of techniques and products. It often happens that I use something that worked on a Tag later on a Page.

I started by using 13 Arts A4 Paper from the Amour collection, not that much of it was visible after all the media, but I know it was there....Lol...

I used the Metal Plate Stencil on the backgound with 13Arts Modeling paste colored with  Americano Vivid Vintage paint. I needed some texture for the inks to puddle in and the stenciling gave me the perfect texture. I used Yellow Amber Ink and Pink Rainbow Color Powder. The edges were inked with some Black Splash Ink.

This Decorative Frame just stays a firm favorite of mine! Here I layered the smaller one on the large one, love the design effect one achieves by layering the different Chipboard designs! After a light Gesso coat, I colored it with Vivid Green and Olive Green Paints. I finished it of with some Old Silver Glitter Splash ink.

The Vine Frame was treated the same as the Decorative Frame. I  kept the negative inside of the Lacey Heart Frame...Loved the Distressed look it gave to the very delicate frame....I treated the frame with Scarlet Ink and Crystal Bordeaux Glitter Splash Ink.
A crochet Doily, some Black Glitter, a little wax and sisal adds the final touches to my Tags.

I hope you enjoyed this project...To view the products I used , please follow the link to the well stocked Dusty Attic On-line store....
