Good morning how are you? 

There's nothing like a little cold weather to get creating, and just to play around in my studio, with a hot cup of coffee or two.  With that in mind why don't you give the Dusty Attic Moodboard a go and why wouldn't you want to?

Dusty Attic Chipboard - Mandala, Ornate Circle Frames, Elegant Chain, Title.

The way I started was give all the chipboard a spray with white spray paint. Once it was dry add a photo to the ornate frame.

Foam mount the mandala to the centre of the page, alternatively use the out side of the chipboard cut out and glue it to give you layers..... its the perfect way to save some money on foam tape and help cut down your waste.

 Also the money you save on the tape means you can buy more Dusty Chipboard right ?

Add the photo to the centre of the mandala, also using some left over chipboard to add some height.... Then add the elegant chain to the base of the frame also mounting to add some layers between the two pieces.

I added some rubons to the background to make a little Ombre effect.

Then added the title to the left hand side.

Now its all about the finishing touches, some acetate leaves and some leave rubons.

To complete the look I added a lot of rhinestones throughout the background.

Other elements used: Clear Gesso, Clear crackle paint,Liquid Pearls-White Opal, Shimmerz-Inklings-Giddy about Green, LuminArt-Silk-Iridescent Gold, Sequins, TWC Texture paste-Shimmery Goodness, Cheesecloth....Here are a few close ups....

For the background I used 49 and Market Vintage Remnants Paper #2 & 4. I cut the center (lace part) out of #2 & glued it onto #4 gluing  the DA Fancy Trim #6 and Lace into the layers. I primed all of the chipboard with the clear gesso, then applied clear crackle paint onto some areas. Once the crackle dried I painted the pieces with the Giddy about Green & the Iridescent Gold....

I used the Liquid Pearls on the Lacey Pendant Drops...

I glued cheesecloth on the backside of the Wild Grass then trimmed away the excess.On the front of the Wild Grass I applied the TCW texture paste and sprinkled on Prills onto the wet paste....Here are a few more close ups....

Hello gorgeous gang!

Today I would like to show you how I've created Dovecote Cards set using lots of gorgeous  Dusty attic's chipboards and fantastic Lindy´s Gang paints.  

 I hope you will find my techniques and tips interesting, whether you are a beginner or an advanced artist.

So let's start...

Basic Process

• I designed and cut 3 Dovecote out of cardboard and primed them with White Heavy Gesso
• Next I covered each with a different Tissue Paper using soft gel
• When dry I spread Plaster Paste using a stencil and quickly, before drying, I added on top and Heat Embossed one of this 3 Lindy's Embossing Powders: Midnight Copper, Cleopatra's Copper, Bling-y Blonde
• Now time to add gorgeous sprays to each card:
  1. Buccaneer Bay Blue Moon Shadow Spray
  2. California Poppy Gold and Mission Bells Brown Starburst Sprays
  3. Jazzy Jivin Purple and Milk Chocolate Brown Starburst Sprays
• After drying I rubed a bit of Metalique waxes on the cards 
•  Next I colored Dusty Attic's  chipboards, I will be on my cards:
  - The Doodads #6, Ornate Corner #4 and Elegant Swirls #9 with Beaver Tail Brown squirt- The Ginkgo Biloba with Loonie Toonie Teal Squirt-  The  Jewelry Drops #5 and Bulb (Industrial Globes#3) with Ponderosa Pines Olive
  - The Barometer with Antique Gold, Glittering Gold- The Broken Bits #1- Numbers with Aged Copper- The Marigod Yellow Orange Starburst Spray was added to the Elegant Swirls #9

• Last steps were:
  1. Adding Glass Glitter and Micro Beads
  2. Splatter White Acyrilic paint
