Always & Forever Shrine - Amanda Herring

Hello There

I am back with my second Dusty Attic project for March  and I have used the ATC Shadow box to create a shrine.

I have used a series of cogs and Ornamental chippy pieces to turn my shadow box
into a small ATC Shrine.
I love how the cogs and clock face give this piece the look of an old fashioned wall clock.

The paint colours are bright and I love the contrast between the ornamental shrine and the cogs and gears.

By cutting up the Ornamental Trim and Ornamental Pendants and spacing them around the ATC Shadow box gives a Mexican shrine effect.
Adding the winged frame to the front of the shadow box helps to add dimension to the piece.

Th picture above shows the beginning of how cutting up the Ornamental pieces give a shrine effect.

I painted a layer of gesso over the entire piece , once assembled, and then added some texture paste
to fuse the pieces together and unifies all the layers of chippy.

Happy Memories - Joanne Simons - Mood Board Inspiration

Hi and welcome to the blog today.  Thank you for sharing some of your day with us here at Dusty Attic!

Im sharing with you today my take on this months pretty moodboard.

To Enter all you have to do is add your take in the comments section of the Dusty FANattics page on Facebook

Beautiful colours!  Pink and green - one of my favourite colour combinations!

I started my layout by choosing that lovely Ornament trim for down the side of my page.  I covered it with pink paint and then set about layiing some fussy cut flowers on top.  In those flowers I also added the Baroque Floruish which was also covered with pink paint and had a little be of gold wax over the top.

Then I made my paper cluster for my photo to sit on and added the ornate circle frame under my photo.  This was painted gold.  I cut the circle from the Decorate frame and just used the two flourish pieces to the right of my photo, saving the left over for another project.

Here are the links for the Dusty Attic chipboard I used in my layout

Life is Beautiful - Anguree Van Rensburg

Hello everyone

I'm back today sharing this layout I made for our Moodboard Challenge, using an array of beautiful Dusty Attic Chipboard pieces.

I just loved the gorgeous colours of our Moodboard and thought this photo, taken for our wedding anniversary a couple of years ago, will be absolutely perfect, showcasing the purple and pink colours of the sunset.

To mimic the colours in the photo,  I used a combination of two papers from the new Vintage Artistry Coral and Vintage Artistry Sky Collections by 49 And Market. You will note that I chose to ink all my chipboard pieces in White Brilliance Archival Ink.

I embellished the photo on 2 sides using a combination of various flowers. I then added my title to the bottom and sentiment to the top.

Thank you so much for visiting us today. I hope you enjoyed your time here and will be back again for more inspiration from the rest of the team.

Till next time, take care, stay safe and enjoy your day crafting.
