A Secret Door - Kerstin Filou - Mood Board inspiration

Hello everyone!

Have you seen the latest chipboards - Fairy Doors and Mushroom clusters - ???

Simply magical!!

Love this fantasy theme, it's absolutely inspiring for me.

I created a canvas in mixed media style, worked with dried natural bark, which represents an old tree with a secret door hidden inside.

I wonder who goes in and out there? 😃

Book Nook Enchanted Forest - Kerstin Filou

Hello everyone!

I was inspired again to create a new book nook.

Maybe you remember the last one in steampunk style.

Today to the theme Enchanted Forest, a little dreamy fairy house in natural style.

How to ...tips

for the lighting I added an additional wall made of cardboard,

which was covered with wood paper and finished with cutting dies (stars)

side walls were covered with scrapbooking paper,

stencilled with butterfly motifs and

decorated with pieces of Leafy Frame Set #2

in project centre is a 3D Birdhouse, which is fixed on a birch branch as a stand

a ladder leads to it, which was created from the Old Wooden Fence #3

cut out the door from chipboard remnants

primed with black gesso and painted with acrylics

furthermore I used various naturally dried materials

to finish the house (branches, pine cones, lichen)

Good morning and Happy New Years!!! I hope you had a great festive season with the people you love. I had a wonderful break but I am itching to get back into all things creative that is for sure.

So lets kick of the 2023 with Dusty Attics Moodboard challenge.....

By adding layers into the layout you can add your toadstools and mushrooms through out the background.

Dont forget a little bit of bling with a selection of glitters and clear sequins.

Keeping everything white allows your eye to get drawn to the details.
