Canvas and Love you Always (two projects) - Natasha Naranja Aguirre

Hello again!  I'd like to share a canvas that I REALLY enjoyed making.  I just let my imagination and creativity run wild with this one and I love how it turned out!

The background of the canvas is decorated with muslin, ceramic stucco and lace.  I inked, spritzed and painted all of the elements to get this gorgeous color.

The floral clusters are made up of Prima flowers, Green Tara flowers and the Dusty Attic Floral Corners (DA0848).  The little diamante hearts were sent to me all the way from Australia by my bestie!

The chipboard element framing the canvas is The Dusty Attic's Devine Frame Set (DA0733).  To get the gorgeous color and texture shown here, I sprayed the chipboard with Black Orchid Silver by Lindy's Stamp Gang and then used a grid stamp to stamp clear embossing ink onto it.  I then added Hibiscus Rose Orange embossing powder, also by Lindy's Stamp Gang, and heat embossed the piece.

This  layout I have to also share with you is created by using the Cold Country collection by 7 Dots Studio.  I love the subtle tones of these papers.

I added a touch of color to my background by spritzing Lindy's Stamp Gang ink, and I added texture using Ceramic Stucco and a template by The Crafters Workshop.  The little drops you see are called Dew Drops.  Love them!

To create my title I combined a cut piece from the Dusty Attic chipboard element called, "A Lifetime is..." (DA0929) and the word "always" from Mini Words #1 pack (DA0386).

My floral cluster is a combination of lovely flowers by Prima Marketing and chipboard scrolls by The Dusty Attic (DA0760 Scroll #9 and DA0762 Scroll #10). Thanks for visiting!  See you next time!

Love Completely - Natasha Naranjo Aguirre - Mood Board inspiration

Hi everyone!  I'd like to share a Dusty Attic Cigar Box that I altered for this month's Inspiration Board Challenge over at The Dusty Attic.

To play along with the challenge, all you have to do is create a project using any of the Inspiration Board elements shown in the image.  The only rule is that your project must include at least one Dusty Attic chipboard item.  The prize is a $100 Gift Voucher to use on the Dusty Attic website!

I first painted the cigar box with white gesso and added a layer of ceramic stucco for texture.  I applied overlapping layers of tissue tape to the sides of the box to add some text to my project.  I then added Dusty Attic chipboard and sprayed Lindy's Stamp Gang ink in three colors - Cosmopolitan Pink, Open Arms Amethyst and Amaryllis Burgundy.

My floral clusters are made up of a mixture of Prima Marketing flowers and mulberry flowers.

The title on the box is part of a set of three titles (DA1170 Live Beautifully...).

 Hi friends!  Today I'm here to share a layout I created for the January Dusty Attic Inspiration Board.  This is a new challenge on the Dusty Attic blog, and if you decide to play along you could win a $100 gift voucher to the Dusty Attic store!  All you have to do is create a project using your interpretation of the Inspiration Board below.  The only requirement is that you include at least one Dusty Attic chipboard piece.  Don't have any?  You can purchase chipboard directly from the website or in my online store HERE.

 

For the title of my layout, I used a combination of Word Pack #5 and Mini ABC Tile Set.  I decided to leave most of the chipboard on this layout unaltered because I love the natural color of it.  The color also worked well with the Inspiration Board.

I tucked in a few word disks here and there.  I love the sayings on them!

 I brushed a very light layer of white gesso on the number border to give it a worn look.

The background paper, by Maja Design, was altered with ink and texture medium.  I punched random areas of the paper and added stitching and staples for detail. Thanks for stopping by!  Have a beautiful day! xoxo

 Hello friends!  I have a special reverse canvas to share with you today!  I made this as a gift, but I cannot yet reveal who it is for.  :oP  The background of the reverse canvas is covered with paper by Maja Design.

 All of the smaller blue flowers were handmade using Bitty Blossoms dies and were cut from Maja Design papers.  The remaining flowers are from a variety of flower collections (old & new) by Prima Marketing.

 The birdhouses, birds and grass border are all chipboard elements made by The Dusty Attic.  You can purchase them in my shop HERE.

 And of course, I couldn't forget to add these stunning chipboard flourishes to my floral clusters.

 I cut these birds out from Birds on a Branch #3 and inked the pieces with Mix'd Media Inx in various colors.

"Canvas" by Natasha

Hi everyone!  Today I have a canvas that I would like to share with you.  I decided on this quote because I thought it would be a good reminder for myself and for others.  Everyone has a story, and everyone has gone through something that has changed them.  So it's a good reminder that we shouldn't judge people.  :o)

All of these flowers were handmade (with the exception of the teeny flowers and the metal ones).  The large flowers were made from watercolor paper that I inked with Distress Stains in three different colors.  I then followed a tutorial by Mistra that can be found HERE.  The smaller flowers are made from Bitty Blossoms dies.

For my quote, I used the Dusty Attic Typewriter ABC Set and Dymo labels.

I accented my flower clusters with Leafy Scrolls...

... and Swirly Vines.

The background of my canvas is made up of many layers.  The first layer is printed tissue.  Above that there are layers of gesso, muslin, Distress Stains, ink, paint, textured medium, and embossing powder.  I love to get messy with a canvas!

This month I created this ATC for Dusty Attic whose theme was Industrial

I used lot of metalic embelishment and a ziper to frame them

 

I used Dusty attic acrylic paints colors DA0913 Faded Denim and DA0914 Denim

And finish with Gloss varnish

Hi everyone

I have done my ATC sideways

The background I have created is from the

 Riverts embossing folder from Tim Holtz with Distress ink over the top.

I have then used a Moulds by Mel Screw and Nut mould

(how awesome to have a flat back big screw that doesnt weigh anything!) 

Attached to the screw with wire are the Dusty Attic   cogs and Nuts and Screws
