Beautiful Moment - Jen Burns - Mood Board Inspiration

Hello Dusty FANattics

I would like to share a layout I have created inspired by  October's Mood Board

This super cute photo of my Princess Grand Daughter made me lean more towards the Apricots and Pale Pink of the board.

The stunning challenge board ...

I have used lots of different chipboard which I have painted white to start with, then added colour to some pieces like the Mini Cherry Blossom below.
I have added an apricot paint the wiped/dabbed some of it off in places.

The Lace Border #3 Small

piece is perfect for down the side of this photo.

Same as the  Mini Marrakesh Trellis

that you can trim and add under any photo or paper stacks that you make to add interest and draw your eye to that spot.

The Flutterbies #1  has also been left white which adds brightness to a page.

The Doily #1   I have cut in half and put one half at the bottom of the photo and the other at the top which I have added Rub-Ons to.

Beautiful Moment Impact Title   has been coloured like the cherry blossom, adding paint then wiping it off in places, this time leaving a bit more colour behind.

Altered Notebook - Joanne Simmons - Mood Board Inspiration

Hello!  Wow!  How nice is this months moodboard??

I have created an altered notebook.

To start I used one of my embellishments.  I like to make these up just for fun and then add them to a page or card.  This is what I started with
So I created this embellishment using a chipboard doily as my base and then adding the broken numbers, bits of the heart attack panel then a flourish.  I did change the blossom as you will see in the pic.

Next I covered my notebook.  I painted it first with some extra body acrylic paint.  Added a little extra texture using the gradient texture stencil.  I then added some wax over the top.

Before I added my embellishment I added some perforated mesh.

Finally I added my embellishment and splattered with white paint

Best Friends - Joanne Simons

Hello again!  I hope you are well and safe.  Jo here to share with you some Dusty Attic goodness.

I  have a layout to share today featuring some wonderful Dusty Attic chippy and a special pic of my Mumma bear and I.  We don't often take pics of us together generally because we are on the other end of the camera.  This one was special as we celebrated her 70ish birthday with a surprise morning tea at home with a few of her dear friends.

I started with my photo and some paper layers and then added some of the chipboard doilies which were heat embossed with gold.  I then sat the whole lot on top of the Bali Border #2 which was also heat embossed.  On top of the Bali Border is the Vine Corner which I used more like a flourish than a corner.

I added a little umbrella to the blossoms and adhered the Best Friends title to the top of the blossoms too.

To add a little more texture I added the stitched lines chipboard which I just covered with white gesso for a pop of colour.

Here are some close ups for you.

Dream - Joanne Simons - Mood Board Inspiration

Hello and welcome back to the blog!

Jo here and Im sharing with you my take on this months delicious moodboard.  Seriously another lovely moodboard.

And here is my layout

This was a challenge for me in that I don't usually use a dark patterned background but I fell in love with this paper collection from our friends at 49 and Market.
Which can also be purchased on the Dusty Attic website.

First a created a paper cluster for my photo and then tucked under the geo border which is inked and heat embossed in gold.  I added a chipboard doily and the ornate birdcage.  Both of this I inked with Card Deco ink.

Here are a couple of close ups
