Dream - Anat Weksler - Mood Board Inspiration

 Hello crafty friends!

It's Anat here. I'm back today to share my Dusty Attic's Moodboard inspired project.

As my usual I've created a project inspired by the image and colours. I've altered a Notebook/Journal cover, replacing the originial cover by one I made from scratch.

I grabbed a Frame, bubbles, cogs and sea chippies, added Natural shells, metal elements and lots of art stones.

Everything was coloured with Finnabair's Mediterranean Impasto paint, Lindy's Buccaneer Bay Blue and Dark Chocolate Truffle Spray, and after drying over night Dry Brushed with Heavy White Gesso.

Peace and Joy - Kertin Filou - Mood Board Inspiration

 Welcome Creative Friends !

As I saw our monthly moodboard I was inspired to create a wintery layout with shades of blue and brown, a wonderful combination.

My layout shows an anniversary clock where I used this special snow bauble as a clock pendulum.

I have only used white crackle paint and some texture paste for this amazing little houses with added small windows, Love it !

 

 As you might have discovered in other projects of mine, I always like to combine chipboards with die cuts, this creates 3D effects in multiple layers

Cherish - Belinda Spencer - Mood Board Inspiration

 Hello Dusty Attic fans!

Belinda here with you today to share my take on the gorgeous January Mood Board Challenge.

Here's a peek at the mood board.

The colours are just divine!

I started my layout by adding some stencilling to the stunning 49 & Market background paper using the Bedazzled Stencil and white gesso. I applied the gesso very lightly with a latex make-up wedge to avoid bleeding under the stencil. I ended up giving it three light coats through the stencil to gradually build up to a crisp white. Once dry, I spritzed the page with water and applied a lovely blue watercolour using a large soft watercolour paintbrush. I flicked some of the paint over the page too.

In keeping with the colours of the mood board, I decided to keep most of my chipboard pieces raw as the soft brown colour matched. I first chose my patterned papers and created a stack with them that I secured with a staple or too. I then slipped in some die cut pieces and page tabs. I backed it all with a torn piece of the corrugated card.

I stuck down the two larger viewfinders on my layout first and then layered the patterned paper stack on top.

I added my photo using 3D foam and then slipped in the flower bud stem underneath.

I added some twine across the page and secured with a bit of glue. Next I added some book paper to 5 flags and sanded the edges with an emery board to make them nice and smooth. I added some Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide around the edges and glued them in place on top of the twine.

I finished by adding the remaining chipboard pieces as well as some stickers. I painted the mini stars and the smallest viewfinder from the set with white gesso.

DAYS of Summer - Adri Du Preez - Mood Board Inspiration

 Hello everyone!

Here is my layout inspired by the beautiful January mood board and stunning Dusty Attic chippies. I used an Allison Davis sketch designed for Scrapbook Generation.

James and his mommy and daddy just returned from a relaxing fun beach vacation.  It was James's first time at the beach. They were so excited to share this new experience with him and he enjoyed every moment as you will see from the photos. 

Here is the mood board.

And here is my layout.

The chippies were first covered with white gesso.

The title, seaweed, shells, and coral were painted with Americana Acrylic paint in Whispering Turquoise, Desert Turquoise, Calypso Blue, and the edges were dry brushed with white gesso.

The clouds, shells, and fish were left white. Slate Grey was used to dry brush the edges of the clouds.
