And just like that it is once again October!!! I know we say it every year...But my, has this year past in a flash!
It has been a year of Good and Bad. One of the worst was of course having to say Goodbye to this most beloved Fur-member of the family. It has been a month and the emptiness she left behind is still very tangible.
To create this memorial page I used papers from 49 and Market...From the Rusty Autumn collection I used Falling Leaves and Reminiscent and Specimen from Vintage Artistry.
On the background I used the new Burlap Stencil with Watering Can Archival Ink. I can see this stencil becoming a favourite...It gives such a lovely textured effect. Also inked with Opal Sea Oats mist from Lindy's Stampgang. Splatters were made with Silver Glimmer mist from KCraft and Vintage Coal Color Bloom. I used Metallic Gold Embossing Paste from Studio 490 through the Damask #2 Stencil.
The small Baroque Flourishes is a two part set...Here I coloured the bottom part with the Vintage Coal Mist, the top part I dampened and distressed. I Gesso'd them and painted with the Opal Sea Oats Mist.
After Gesso, I used the Opal Sea Oats Mist on the Fancy Frame #11, I cut it into pieces and stuck it behind my photo. On the Iron Garnish #6 and the Creative Script pieces I once again used the Vintage Coal. The Quoted Sentiments got a light sweep with Watering Can Ink.
Just a close look at the Hand-stitching. I forgot to secure the looped yarn with some tiny dots of glue to keep them in place...Have rectified it so it does look neat again...
From the Dusty Attic Website I used the following Chipboard Pieces...
I thank you for visiting my post....
