every Photo tells a story - Patricia Basson - Mood Board Inspiration

Hello all.
Today I am sharing another page with photos of my youngest Daughter with you using the sweet pastel colors of the July Moodboard from Dusty Attic.

I used papers from AB Studio, Love comes Again, Angel's Heaven and Ocean of Kisses from the So much Love collection.

I punched and handstitched the edges of the multi layers trying to incorporate all the lovely colours.

Technique wise  I did not do much this time. Reason is I bought a new product and wanted to try it out without to much fussing.

So after Gesso on the chipboard I coloured them with Cosmic Shimmer's Matt Chalk polish. It's an interesting textured product, I would describe it being like Putty, and it gives a real lovely Matt coverage on the chipboard. Easy to apply with either a sponge or paintbrush.

I used the colors Aqua, Antique Rose and Custard on the various pieces. On the little Frangipani Blooms I used a sponge for the Custard Color and a Paintbrush for the Antique Rose in the inside. I also tried my hand with the Distressed Gilded Foundry Wax from Tim Holtz on the Leafy Corner and Spring Blooms.

A sprinkle of Rose Gold Glitter, Flowers, Lace Flowers and some Fussy cut elements and the page was done.

From the Dusty Attic On-Line Shop I used the Following...

Industrial Clusters Cards - Pascale B

Hello Sweeties,

Today I'm up on Dusty Attic blog with a set of cards. The new Industrial Clusters are just perfect to make cards, if you haven't seen them yet, you can find them here.

For the background, I chose to work on a piece of canvas. I spray teal and gray sprays. Next, I added a design with Graphite Paste and Metal Plate Stencil.

I sprayed all the Industrial Cluster #2 and #6 along with the Broken Bits #6 with Black Soot Distress Oxide.

Next, I added silver and gold waxes.

When all the elements were glued, I added some Salvaged Patina. Then I decided to add some Carmine as well to add some color.

To finish, I just add some microbeads and glass glitters.

Sweet Little Miracle - Adri Du Preez - Mood Board Inspiration

Hello everyone!

Here is my layout inspired by the stunning July mood board, and featuring Dusty Attic chipboard pieces. For this layout, I used the 49 and Market Vintage Artistry Colour in Blush. This is my granddaughter, Mila, during her new born shoot

Here is the mood board.  I just love the soft pastel shades.

and here is my layout.

All the chippies were first covered in white gesso.
The title was painted with Americana Acrylic paint in Whispering Turquoise.

The Flower Posie #4 is just beautiful. I snipped the posie in pieces, coloured it with Posca pens in Pink Rose and Light Green, and tucked them in the flower clusters.

Foliage #17 and 27 were painted with Americana Acrylic paint in Mint Julep Green and dry brushed with Whispering Turquoise and white acrylic paint.

The Ornate Circle was heat embossed with white embossing powder.

The final touches to this layout included pearls, crystal drops, and splatters with diluted white gesso.

Dusty Attic products used.
