Imagine - Mary Tzalla

Hello dear friends!

Mary with you today to share a project created using lots of gorgeous chipboards, flowers and laces around the beautiful photo I found on Pinterest. When I saw it I knew I had to scrap it and the Dusty Attic chipboards along with the Maja Design papers were just perfect for it.

I choose for my page the ''No XXI'' from the Maja Design Vintage Autumn Basics collection. I started by applying a coat of clear gesso on the background paper and then I used an icing paste with the ''Damask #2'' Stencil to create texture.

Made some stamping here and there and used a Lindy's Gang spray
to add color.

Next step was to paint all the chipboards. I started with the
''Decorative Frame #5'' & the ''Imagine'' title word from the ''Wordpl@y #2'' which were painted with the Finnabair White Pearl acrylic paint. The ''ATC Frame #7'', the ''Creative Script'' and the ''Dream'' title word from the ''Wordpl@y #2'' were also painted with the Finnabair Ice Queen paint.

I used the Finnabair Silver Spoon paint to color the ''Baroque Flourishes Small'' chipboards.

When everything was glued down I added some art stones and glass glitter and beads. The final touch was made with some splatters with white gesso.

You & Me - Nicole Doiron - Mood Board Inpiration

Hello Dusty FANattics!

It's Nicole with you today with my second November project, this time inspired by the oh so beautiful mood board challenge!

Here is this beautiful mood board full of pretty plum colours.

In tune with the mood board images, I tried to keep my page in a fairly monochromatic colour palette, working on a beige background and playing with different shades of purples.

I chose this title from the Mini Captions #7 to go along with my photo and theme.

I used a lilac embossing powder on it and dabbed it with some white paint.

Also in the above image, you can see the very dainty Birds on a Branch #3.

I colored it with a sand colored embossing powder. Below, you can see a close up of my flower cluster amidst which I included some flair and a Page Pebble.

An important focal point on my layout is the background Small Damask Panel.

What a stunning piece which looks gorgeous in a rich Garnet colour.

And because we all love flowers, here's another bloom close-up!

This picture of my boyfriend and I was taken 2 years ago already.
To this day, we have been together 12 years and still going strong and in love!

Now let's see what Dusty Attic chipboard pieces I used on my page.

The Good Life - Belinda Spencer - Mood Board Inspiration

Hello!

Belinda here today to share my take on the gorgeous November Mood Board.

'The Good Life'

I started this layout by squirting some Dusty in Colour Paints in Cranberry, Lavender Blush and Sugar Plum over my background.

Then I used a palette knife to spread the paint mixing it as I went. I diluted some more of the paint in a palette with water and flicked some droplets over the layout too.

I added some stencilling using the Chicken Wire Stencil and the Lavender Blush paint as well as some random stamping.

I painted the chipboard frame, trellis and floral pieces with the same paints. The mini stars and captions were coloured with a white paint pen.
