Happy Easter - Adri Du Preez

Hello everyone!

Welcome to the blog today. My April design team layout features beautiful Dusty Attic Easter elements. I have now used all my Easter chippies. This layout is filled with carrots and bunny ears peeking out everywhere.  They are just so cute.

This is my daughter and her family celebrating Easter. 

Here is my layout.

All the chippies were first covered with a layer of white acrylic paint, and then painted with Americana Acrylic paint.

I glued pink cardstock behind the ears of the bunny title.

For the rust effect on the spade and watering can I lightly covered them with white gesso making sure I don't cover the detail. With a sponge brush, I then dabbed the spade and the watering can with Grey Storm, Slate Grey, and randomly with Georgia Clay.

I covered the picket fence with white acrylic paint, Grey Sky, and the edges with Grey Storm.  This was glued on top of the carrots, plant labels, and bunny ears.

Love LIFE - Adri Du Preez - Mood Board Inspiration

Hello everyone.

Here is my layout inspired by the February mood board which features beautiful Dusty Attic chipboard pieces.

 For this layout, I used pattern paper from the 49 and Market Blossom collection.

This is my granddaughter Mila on her fourth birthday.

Here is the mood board.

And here is my layout.

All the chippies were first covered in white gesso.

All the chipboard pieces are painted with Americana Acrylic paint in Poodleskirt Pink, 

Orchid, Pansy Lavender, Whispering Turquoise, and Mint Julep Green.

The Foliage Cluster #2 was snipped in pieces and tucked into the flower clusters.

The two Mini Tabs were dry brushed with Poodleskirt Pink and Orchid.

For the ombre effect on the title, I used Orchid, Pansy Lavender, and White Wash.

Trio of Houses - Anat Weksler - Mood Board Inspiration

 Hello crafty friends!

It's Anat here,  back with my moodboard inspired project - a trio of ATC houses.

I wanted to create this houses for sometime now, I've seen this idea with 2 great designers and friends and I loved it.

As you can see this set is made entirely with chipboards, when I made the composition I felt there wasn't any need to add another type of  element and I'm so in love with what I come up with! After building the houses I painted them with Impasto paints, leaving the Natural background here and there, I than stampped them and went to color the chipboards using the same mixes of impasto paint adding a bit of rubbed metalique wax and dry brush gesso.
