This month's mood board is my daughter's favorite. She loves bright and neons. so, I decided to scrap with her picture today.

Here are few Close-ups. I have cut Ornate Frame#7 in four parts and used in different layers all across the picture. I have used Ivy Corner #2 on the top most layered and it really looked beautiful. Various textures were created with Dusty Attic Texture Paste using their beautiful stencils. The stencils used are CrossShatch Stencil and Kinning Stencil . For the title, I have used "Just Me"...This is again my daughter's favorite. I have also used Mini Tab#2 and Tickets.

All the flowers and leaves are from Altenew. To stamp the paper for flowers, paper is prepared with highly diluted Dusty in colors on the craft sheet and stamping with Black Archival ink. Sprinkle little water when the paper is still wet and lift some color with tissue paper. The shades used are Dusty in Colour Oceania, Dusty in Colour Capri, Dusty in Colour Crushed Olive and Dusty in Colour Jungle Green. I have also used the stamps designed by Gabrielle Pollacco under her brand named 49 And Market.

Dream - Rajni Chawla - Mood Board Inspiration

Good morning all!!

A loud and a big Hello to all my Dusty Attic fans. I am back after a long time. Missed to inspire you last month due to my ill health. I am feeling better now and trying to get back to my regular routine.

There's no denying that your kids are like a reflection of your younger self. And when I look at my daughter, I can't help but believe in this fact even more. She's almost exactly like me in every respect - a little confused about what she has to do, over enthusiastic about everything and fascinated by all forms of art. That said, these days, rarely does she enter my craft room and to help me along with project because of her exams. But whenever she does, she ends up creating a masterpiece. Something similar happened this time as well.

I was just thinking about how to start this project when she came and offered to help me. Guess what...She herself decided what she wanted to create. The project that I am sharing today with you all is 80 percent made by her. I was trying not to disturb her as I knew, she is very moody and she might leave everything and go. The way she was selecting chipboards and the way she was looking at the mood board and selecting colors….it was really an amazing feeling for me….as if she is filling up all my dreams. She created an art journal for herself. Here are the details.

Here is the gorgeous May Mood Board

List of Dusty Attic products used:

Here are the picture details.

Full View:

Look at the gorgeous assembling of all the elements. Loved the super grungy collection of Dusty Attic chippies and the word chippies. Beautifully layered one on top of each other.

All the chipboards were first primed with heavy white gesso and then textured using DA Texture Paste.  She has used DA Blueprint DREAM to create the title of her art journal.Different layers were created using DA Cogs #1, DA Jumbo Cogs and DA Nuts and Bolts set   The main focal image is created using DA Feather Charm #2 . Feather Charm is dusted with clear glitter using soft gel.

Though she also created textures with DA Clockwork Stencil also but it's hardly visible on the front cover but it shows perfectly on the back of the journal.

look at the beautiful textures she gave on chipboards. Dusty Attic Paints used are Dusty in Colour Navajo White, Dusty in Colour  Raisin, Dusty in Colour Dusty Pink, Dusty in Colour hot Chocolate.

Little more close up showing more texture details...
She added few pearls to add extra beauty to the project.

All the Dusty Attic products are listed and linked directly to the website for you reference.
Hope you all liked her first attempt.
Do leave some love to build up her confidence.

I recently launched my new website and joined Heartfelt Creations Design Team. Also, created lots of mix media projects using gorgeous Dusty Attic chippies. To view, you can visit my website here, here, and here.  Or you can visit my blog

Adore - Rajni Chawla - Mood Board Inspiration

       Hi all,
Rajni Chawla here from Passionately Curious dropping again with new inspiration for you all. Hope you have all seen the gorgeous March mood board. I really had fun creating this new project. Don't forget to share your new creation following our March moldboard using Dusty Attic chipboards in your project. There is $100 Dusty Attic Gift Voucher for the winner. Simply link your creation in the right of the Dusty Attic Blog. .

Here is the March month mood-board.

Now my take on March mood-board.

Here's the thing about love. It's hard to put into words. You are not an option, a choice or a soft place to land after a long battle. You were meant to be the one. If you can wrap yourself around the idea that you are something incredible, then you will stop excusing behavior that rapes your very soul. You were never meant to teach someone to love you. You were meant to be loved. Try to adore yourself and trust me you will fall short of words to pen down that amazing feeling.

To start with I selected patterns paper from Love Story Collection by Blue Fern Studios and Glued it to thick black chipboard. Primed a part of it with a light coat of white gesso and different layers of textures using Dusty Attic texture Paste, stencils and stamps. Misted the background using various shades of sprays. When happy with the background I start building layers of handmade pattern papers adding  dimensions with dimensional tape.

Here is the close up shot to show you different layers that I created.

All the chipboard pieces used (except DA Feather Charm #4) were painted using Dusty in colour Alabaster, Dusty in colour Hot Chocolate and Dusty in colour Raisin. I used DA .............. to create the base for all the embellishments. I just simply stained DA Feather Charm and sprinkled some clear glitters to enhance the beauty of the charm.

I used fussy cut images of flowers form Graphic45 Once Upon a Springtime Collection and Gilded Lily Collection. "Be Happy" is from DA Word Disk Collection #1.
Title "Adore" is from DA Word Pack #14

Now onto main focal image. Its from Deco-mania Rice Paper. Cut the image, glue it onto thick card stock and then paint it with Dusty Attic Clear Crackle Varnish and set it to dry for 3-4 hours. Here is the pic to show you the beautiful textures that I got with this crackle.

Look how gorgeous is the output of  DA IVY Corner #2 around the picture. I love it !!

On the top edge and the right side corner were distressed with scissors and stained a little with vintage photo distress ink by Ranger.

Love Love !!

Love the overall look of the project. Hope you liked it too.
If you like my project do leave some love. For more inspiration you can visit my blog HERE
