Hello September 

What an amazing full on weekend we have here at Dusty Attic. Our very own International Tutor is here to share lots of tips and tricks with his stunning creations and art classes, stay tuned for lots of pics on the face book page and Instagam.

As you can see he has already met one the Aussie wildlife (who is tame) in Brisbane when he was there.

Hello, today I would like to share with you a LO I did using Dusty Attics Stunning Mood Board for September......

From the Mood Board I used: The colors,outdoors, wreath (the frame),branches,fabric....

With a change to the prize we also have a change to the "Challenge" and have Mood Boards this year (with no sketch), all you have to do is link your entry to the right hand side of the blog with your name and country for your chance to win one of two $50 vouchers, you can use the mood board to sway your creation, the only "rule" is that there is Dusty Attic Chipboard on your entry.......

Here are some close ups......

For the background I used Tattered Leaves, ripped the top piece inked the edges & glued corrugated paper in the layers...

I framed one of the photos with the Old Wooden Fence......For the Chipboard I altered with clear or black gesso, then applied a thick coat of clear crackle paint...I let it dry naturally so it may take a about 4 hours or over night, then I played with the colors listed above...

Perth International Mixed Media classes

BOOKINGS CLOSE SOON! Do you love art? Do you love learning new techniques? Do you want to play with new gels, pastes, paints and mediums? If the answer is yes, then check out these amazing classes! I am so excited that it is only 4 weeks to go until I will be hosting our very own international Design Team Creative Artist Antonis Tzanidakis right here in Western Australia. Antonis is a very talented mixed media artist from Greece and regularly teaches all over the world. He teaches by the motto "Talent can't be taught, but it can be awakened". His unique and outstanding art classes are highly sought after and we feel very honoured that Antonis will be joining us for some amazing classes over the first weekend in September. Each Class is $110 and Antonis will be providing most of the materials required including paints, mixed media, chipboard and embellishments so only basic items will be required to complete the classes. Bookings are now being taken for this creative event being held in store at Made With Memories on the 1st and 2nd of September 2018. Made With Memories is located at Unit 1/7 Day Road, Rockingham, Western Australia and there is parking available outside the store. There is plenty of accomodation locally if you wish to attend the whole weekend. Rockingham is a beachside city located just 45 minutes south of Perth and offers beautiful expanses of safe and picturesque beaches, cafes, water sports, beach skydiving, shopping and more. For more information on Antonis and his workshops please visit  http://www.handmadefantasyworld.com/about Antonis Tzanidakis Classes Class One - "Discover - Fear The Deer" - Saturday 1st September from 10:00am - 2:30pm Antonis will share his process for altering this panel using a combination of Dusty Attic Chipboard, Stamperia Deco Paints, Gel Pastes, fluid acrylics, antiquing creams, Stampendous & Andy Skinner Stamps and specialised paper. This piece of art showcases everyones unique personality and would be a great addition to any home.     Class Two - "Steampunk Heart - Altered Book" - Saturday 1st September from 4:00pm - 8:30pm This amazing book is altered inside and out through a variety of processes which Antonis happily guides you through. A combination of paper clay, black modelling paste, stencilling, Stamperia Textured Sand, Crackle Paste, Gesso, Deco Paints and Oil Colours have been used to create different ageing and rusting effects resulting in an amazing recreated old book. Please note: You will be required to supply your own hardcover book. Class Three - "Fearless" - Saturday 2nd September from 10:00am - 2:30pm Antonis will guide you through the process of altering this panel using various techniques resulting in aged vintage effects. Featuring Dusty Attic Chipboard, Stamperia Gel Paste, Crackle Paste, Heavy Body Gels, Oil colours, Fabric, acrylic paints, stencils and Carabelle Stamps this combination will create an inspirational art piece.  Class Four - "Steampunk Gentleman" - Sunday 2nd September from 4:00pm - 8:30pm. Everyone loves a bit of Steampunk and Antonis will guide you through the process of transforming this panel using Dusty Attic Chipboard, Stamperia Stencils & pastes, Antiquing Creams, Crackle Paste, fluid acrylics and Andy Skinner products.This class is one not to be missed and you will see chipboard transform right before your eyes.   I'm so excited about all of Antonis' classes and please email me if you have any further queries.
