February Mood Board

Life is Beautiful

I was inspired by the pretty pastel colours of the Mood Board as well as the roses from the typewriter pic and the script from the bicycle pic.

To create my background I have used the pretty Dusty Attic Love Circles Stencil with Dusty Attic Texture Paste.  Once dry I misted with Lindy's Starburst Mist in Cotton Candy.

How beautiful is the Floral Frame #1 chippie.  Instead of throwing away the inner chipboard section of the frame I decided to keep it in place but altered it with a coat of gesso, then embossed with Tinby Melts and the Mandala Stencil to create a lacy effect for my silhouetted photo. I masked the stencil with clear gel medium, then sprinkled with the Tinby Melts and heat set.

I cut the rose like flower from the frame, so that I could reposition it a little more to the side, then inked the frame with Pixie Dust Versamagic.

So as not to waste the pieces of the Spring Blooms #1 chippies that would have been under my layers, I cut them off and added them to amongst my layers.

To keep the layout soft and dreamy I coated most of my chipboard pieces with gesso and highlighted them with Lindy's Cotton Candy mist.

The Dusty Attic Clear Gloss Varnish is a fabulous way to adhere seed beads, prills and any item that you want to anchor securely.

Hi everyone! Here is Nadya Drozdova, and I am very happy to show you my new creation for the February sketch/mood board. Colors are so sweet and tender and I decided to take the same picture. I chose paper from 7 DotsStudio from the Verano Azul collection with lovely wooden textures.

I took gorgeous Dusty Attic Swirly Frame, "cherish" from Words tags #1 and word "happy" from Word Pack #14  which I covered with embossing powders.

I added fragments of Dusty Attic Pearl Flourish here and there.

Beautifully - Gerry Van Gent (Challenge inspiration)

Hello Crafty friends!
Gerry's here sharing a layout inspired by our February moodboard and sketch!
I mixed different Dusty Attic chipboard which I treated with paint, Stickles and gesso.
I also used the leave stencil as part of creating the background.
The chipboard title "Live Beautifully" was treated with Dusty Colour (Soot; Capri).
Once dry I added Stickles (glitter with glue)
The "Doodads #8" chipboard was cut in three parts and spread over the page.
I treated the doodle frame with pastel Ink colours and then added Stickles once again.
I used Dusty Attic Pearls as decoration all over the layout - on chipboard and on masked patterns.
I love the Floral Frame Set - it's so beautiful! I used the smaller floral for my project.
Treated once again with mixed Dusty Colours paint and then decorated with some Stickles.
I treated the cute Mini Bird Cages #2 only with gesso.
When I masked the Leaves I added Stickles almost right away.
Loved the effect - it looks as if the modelling paste is glittery.
