Valentines Day - Anguree Van Rensburg

Hello dear friends

Happy Valentine's day to all of you. I don't know if you celebrate it, but for me it's always somewhat special. You see this year I celebrate my 16th wedding anniversary.

So while there's a bit of romance is the air, I decided to create to cards to show you how you could use various Dusty Attic Chipboard pieces to layer and embellish your cards.

I used the stunning new Rosalie Collection (6X6) and Ephemera pieces by 13@rts and I am sure you will agree it's just perfect for any romantic occasion. Yet it could also make a beautiful gift for a friend or daughter to tell them how special they are.

I only used 2 sheets of paper per card by cutting out the middle section of the bottom layer to save paper for my top layers.

You will note that I inked a couple of the Get Framed Squares and added them between the paper layers of both cards. This creates the perception that the paper layers have been matted several times and provides a neat, finished appearance.

For the first  card, I inked the Creative Script chipboard with  White Brilliance Ink and used it as the first layer of embellishments on top of all the layers of paper and frames. I then added a layer consisting of two different types of lace, followed by my sentiment.

I cut a short piece of one of the Cog Corners and inked it with Pixie Dust Versa Ink. I repeated this with the cogs and allowed it to dry before adding it to the layer of lace.

Last but not least I added in my cluster of flowers and two more strands of lace to finish it off.

Similarly to the first card, I added a Get Framed Square to my layers of paper.

This time I decided to use Broken Bits Grid #6 as first layer of embellishments and inked it in a darker shade of pink Versa Ink.

I inked the remaining bit 1 f Cog Corners to add under my sentiment.

I felt like I needed more on the left side of the card and cut a piece from Corner Flourish #6, inking it as well. I also selected the smaller barometer, inking it with White Brilliance Ink to affix next to my flower cluster.
