NOTEBOOK NOVEMBER

As a bit of fun we put it to our Design Team to create a notebook cover as part of their November inspirations. We would love for you to join in and show us on the Dusty FANattics Facebook page.
(I am thinking Teacher gifts !)

Michelle Carrick
Has created this one below as an example for you.

She writes...

I love doing different little things, in other
words right up my alley!!

First, I took a black note book and painted with
white gesso.
I then placed all my Chippies and metal corner flourishes and stuck down with heavy body gel. I used an old page that I also placed and stuck down.

I then painted with white texture crackle paste, making sure not to cover my printed page completely and let dry. (I find if you let dry naturally, one gets the most beautiful vintage type cracks. But you can dry with a heat gun!)
I then strayed Prima Color Bloom - Poppy Fields and stone and to add contrast I used coffee. I also wanted a bit of shimmer so I used
Prima Sparks - Butterfly Spells.

Once, completely dry I placed and stuck down all Prima, hand made flowers and metal embellishments.
I used Notes from the Tim Holtz range.

I hope to inspire some wonderful hand crafted Christmas gifts!
Please show and tell if you do,
post to the Dusty Fanattics Facebook page!

Other Elements used:white Gesso, clear crackle paint, Prima Color Bloom Pressed Petal, LuminArt Silk Black Emerald & Iridescent Gold, Black Ink Pad.....
I painted the note book with the DA-Raisin, then applied a thick mist of the Prima Pressed Petal Spray Mist....
I did the same treatment on the Nameplate & the Divine Divas as I did on the notebook. For the lighter pieces of chipboard, I primed the pieces with white gesso, then painted the clear crackle onto some of the pieces & once the crackle dried I painted the pieces with the iridescent, then inked the edges with a black ink pad......
For the green I used the black emerald silk....Here are a few more close ups.....
