Remember the Now - Mixed Media Panel - Pascale B Scrap

Hello Sweeties,

Today I'm on Dusty Attic's blog with a new mixed-media panel.

I covered the canvas board with Carte Postale tissue paper with the help of a soft matte gel. Next, I added a design with the Lace Stencil and paper paste in the edges, and 3D Gloss gel in the center. When dry, I used liquid acrylic paints to color the paste in the same shade as the photo.

I primed the base of Decorative Scroll #1 with white gesso and the top part with black gesso. Then I covered the base with Gilding glue and waited until the glue was completely dry before covering it with Gold Metallic Flakes. I chose the Gold Black wax to color the top part.

I primed the Dandelions and the Flower Buds #1 with black gesso and Gold Black wax too.

I primed the Foliage #4 and the Lemon Leaves & Blossoms with white gesso. Then, I used Burnt Sienna and Orange Tiger liquid acrylic paints to color them.

I primed some Wildflowers with white gesso and used the same color of liquid acrylic paint to color them.

When the composition was to my liking, I added some glitter.

Wistful - Mixed Media Canvas by Pascale B Scrap

Hello Sweeties,

Today I'm up on Dusty Attic blog with a new canvas.

I primed the canvas with white gesso. Next, I covered it with paper paste and added a design with the circle Dot stencil. Then, I painted the background with purple, Prussian blue, and black liquid acrylic paints. When dry,  I added some clear crackle paste to the edges of the canvas.  I added more paints to make visible the cracks.

I primed all the chipboards with white gesso. I cut a couple of pieces from the Marrakesh Treillis and used Black Gold wax to color it.

I painted the Wisteria with purple liquid acrylic paint and added a touch of Honey wax.

I painted the Spider Chrysenthemum in blue as well as the flowers of the Daisy #3, and some umber paint for their leaves. I painted the Leafy Frame Set #2 chipboard with blue and umber paint.

For the Leaves #5, I chose umber paint and burnt sienna for the Poppy Heads. I added gold accent with waxes to all the chipboards.

To finish, I added some blue and purple glitter.

Free Spirit - Pascale B Scrap

Hello Sweeties,

Today I'm up on Dusty Attic blog with a new mixed-media canvas.

After priming the canvas with white gesso, I glued crumpled kraft paper to add texture. Next, I covered the paper with white gesso and added white crackle paste. I leave the canvas to dry naturally to allow the crackles to appear. I used black gesso and a lot of water to color the background.

I primed all the cog chipboards with black gesso. I embossed the Fans with a silver grunge embossing powder. I covered the Jumbo Cogs, Mini Cogs, Cogs and Gears, ... with Graphite paste, then black gesso. I highlighted the details with Old Silver wax.

To alter the Cog Cluster and the Insdustrial Border #2 I used an old tip. I covered the chipboards with white glue, then with black gesso. When heated, bubbles will appear and give the texture of wrought iron. I highlighted the details with Brushed iron wax.

I primed the Leaves #5 and Mini Foliage #5 with white gesso. I used black and brown Distress Inks to color them.

I glued all the elements of the composition with a 3D gel. I added shadows around the composition with a mix of black and brown paints.

To finish, I added silver glitter.

See Possibility Everywhere - Pascale B Scrap

Hello Sweeties,

Today I'm up on Dusty Attic blog with a new mixed-media canvas.

First, I glued a few scraps of collage paper on the left side of the canvas with a soft gel. I covered the right side of the canvas with white gesso and the collage paper with clear gesso, as I wanted the script to be seen. When everything was dry, I added a design with the Floral Stencil #2 and paper paste. With my pallet knife, I smeared the paper paste carefully on the right side.

When everything was completely dry, I painted the canvas with a black liquid acrylic paint watered down. Next, I used two shades of grey mica to add shine to the background. I used the darker one on the right side and the lighter on the left, again to allow the script of the collage paper to be seen.

I primed the filmstrip #2 with black gesso and the rest of the chipboards with white gesso. I just distressed the edges of the flowers with black ink.

I started the composition with the larger elements: the Filmstrip #2. I cut the Wildflower #5 into smaller elements to add under the photo along with the Daisy #3. Next, I add, the Christmas Berries #1 and the Wildflower #5.

To finish, I added silver glitter.

Be Fearless - Pascale B Scrap

Hello Sweeties,

Today I'm on Dusty Attic blog with a new mixed media canvas. Again, I used a photo from @ArtHouseWhimsy.

To begin, I covered the canvas with an uneven layer of paper paste. I didn't wait for the paste to be dry before I added some gilding glue here and there with a brush.

While the background was drying, I primed all the chipboards and the resin elements with white gesso.

When the background was completely dry, I covered the gilding glue with gold Metallic Flakes. And then I painted the background with liquid acrylic paints. When dry, I added a thin layer of clear crackle paste in some places.

I painted the Wheat #3, Wildgrass #1, Foliage #25, and Botanic Mix #3 chipboards with a mix of Umber and Titanium White liquid acrylic paints. I used the same colors to paint the resin skulls.

I used Prussian Blue and Umber paints for the Moon #2 and the Postage Stamps, Prussian Blue for the Geo Tribal Motif #2. And for the Dreamcatchers, I chose to paint them in black.

To finish, I added gold glitter.

Hold on tight to your Dreams - Pascale B Scrap - Mixed Media panel

Hello Sweeties,

Today, I'm up on Dusty Attic blog with a new mixed-media panel. I used a photo from @ArtHouseWhimsy.

First I glued some collage paper on the canvas board with soft gel. I added a design with the stencil and 3D Gloss Gel. Then I primed everything with diluted white gesso to blend everything together.

When everything was dry, I painted the background with a purple liquid acrylic paint. When dry, I dry brush the whole background with white gesso to tone down the color and highlight the designs.

I primed all the chipboards I've selected with white gesso.  I used the mate Sage wax to color the Rose Leaves and the Leaves #5 with a tiny bit of Honey wax.

I used the Honey wax to color the Botanic Mix #6, the Mini Birdhouse, and the Wheat #2. To add some depth I add Black gold wax on the edge of the Birdhouse and the Wheat #2.

I started the composition with the flowers - the biggest elements -  then added the chipboards. When everything was to my liking, I added shadows around the elements of the composition with black and brown liquid acrylic paints to add some depth.

To finish, I add gold glitter.
