Journal Cover - Anat Weksler - Mood Board Inspiration

It's Anat here with my project inspired by August Dusty Attic's gorgeous Moodboard.

I have just started a new Journal, I have just started a new Journal, I haven't written anything for so long, with so much going on, Journaling though is a must! It helps put our minds in order. 

That's why this month I'm sharing,  first, my Moodboard inspired project - My own  Journal altered cover. 

I colored the chippies with Brown Rust paste, Impasto paints and metalique waxes.

Hi there 

I am back today to share another project with you,

 I have used my favourite photo of my parents 

when they were young to create a really simple panel.

I have used made a panel using a wooden panel as my base and chipboard designed by

 Antonis Tzanidakis.

I have covered the wooden panel with scrapbook paper from Stamperia and added 

some texture by stencilling a heavy body paste on top.

I have used aloe of various cogs and gears layered up to build texture on the two hearts from the 

unlock my heart chippy pack. 

Once all the layers are built up I have then painted the chippy with acrylic paints 

in the same colours of my background.

Altered Journal Cover - Patricia Basson

For todays share of Dusty Attic goodness I decorated a Notebook cover with Stamperia Music paper and awesome Dusty Attic Chipboards...

After gluing the papers to the notebook I did some stencil work with a tacky glue and some Autumn Blaze Mega flakes from InigoBlu.

I inked the Industrial Wings and a few small Gears with Pumice Stone Distress Oxide ink and embossed them with two layers of clear Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel. I also dusted some Fairy Dust Glitter onto the hot embossing. They make the perfect wings for the Paper Doll from Tim Holtz.

I have to show how beautiful the Metal Plate pieces are even though they are mostly hidden behind the other elements. I often get asked, why do so much trouble if they get hidden anyways? Because it is so much FUN and the satisfaction that I get after playing with different mediums is just very rewarding...

So I painted the plates with thinned Patina Mold Green Paste from Cadence, and then randomly embossed with Fire Mixed Media Powder from Ranger and Dirty Sand Baked Texture from Emerald Creek.

The Industrial Heart was painted with a thicker coat of the Mold Green Patina Paste and random embossed with Vintage Beeswax Enamel powder.

I mixed some texture paste with Orange Rainbow Color glow from 13arts and dabbed that onto the Gears. Also added some random embossing with the Fire Embossing Powder.

Chains and Chipboard altered box - Anat Weksler

Hello crafty friends!

Anat here wishing you a wonderful New Year ! 

Today I would like to share with you an altered box using Gorgeous Dusty Attic stencil and fabulous chipboards.

I love Dusty Attic's chipboard so much that I can't throw away the left overs LOL so I decided to use it together with the chipboards.

The first  step here was to add texture paste with the wonderful Metal Plates Stencil and cover all box with Black Gesso.

I added to the lid the chipboards: a negative of industial border, Metal Plates, Cogs&Gears, added some metal elements and on top my favorite Industrial Border #2

On the box sides I adhared Chains chipboards and tiny metal cogs

To match the metal look I painted all box with Finnabair's Patina Effect pastes set
