Altered Journal - Patricia Basson - Mood Board Inspiration

For this month beautiful Moodboard from Dusty Attic, I chose to decorate a Notebook cover. I loved the soft Peachy and pink colors and chose them as the main color scheme.

After two layers of heavy gesso I added stenciling with texture paste and white crackling paste from Prima. While still wet I sprinkled Antiquities Embossing powder from Ranger; California Stucco on top of the stencil pattern. I let it to dry naturally and then heat set the embossing powder.

I placed the gesso'd Ornate Frame #2 on the cover and sprayed it all with Cape Cod Coral and Fussy Navel Peach Sprays from Lindy's Stampgang. Also added Amber Color Glow from 13Arts.

I embossed a twig from the Leafy Frame set #2 and a frame from the ATC Frame set #3 with Orbit Olive Gold Embossing Powder also from Lindy's.

With a few Glass pebbles, Lace and Prima flowers and leaves, I have a perfect handmade gift ready at hand!

Love, Dream & Believe - Kerstin Filou

 Hello creative friends!

Where has time gone, today is already the first Sunday in advent. In these difficult times one sometimes believes that time stands still, but we have reached almost December, the Christmas month.

Christmas is for us also the time to read fairy tales and stories before the shining eyes of children.

If you are lucky, the first snow falls outside and envelops the landscape in a magical light.

I used some of my fav chippies from Dusty Attic, e.g.

They were once splited, I treated with white embossing powder and highlighted with pearls

I supplemented it with two honeycomb ornaments, which were bought as gift tags.

For the words I used a dark red embossing powder,

additionally I used some snow paste for a magical effect.

Tresured Memories - Kerstin Filou - Mood Board Inspiration

 Hello creative friends!

Now it's my turn to feature a layout using the
beautiful Dusty Attic Moodboard for November, delightful colours and flowers.

November is usually a grey cloudy time here, the last leaves fall from the trees, often it is foggy and unpleasantly cold and wet. A time when you prefer to make yourself comfortable at home, a favorite activity is to take out old photo albums and tell about past times. At the end of the month the dead are remembered, graves are decorated with flowers and wreaths and completed with candle lights.
Often there is also a bust or an angel on the grave.
That were the thoughts behind this classical layout.

The light, delicate but also pale colors are very good for me on the theme  of faded memories of people, who have left us.

Adore - Belinda Spencer - Mood Board Inspiration

 Hello Dusty Attic fans!!

It's Belinda here today to share my layout inspired by the November Mood Board featuring some gorgeous Dusty Attic chipboard pieces.

'Adore'

Here's a peek at the stunning inspiration. Such soft, pretty colours:

To start this layout, I added some heavy white gesso swiped across the background patterned paper. Once dry, I applied some Dusty In Colour Dusty Pink acrylic paint over the Starry Night Stencil using a latex make-up wedge. I dried this off with a heat gun and then placed the stencil back over the top to trace around some of the stars with a number 1 Micron Pen.

I painted all of the chipboard pieces with heavy white gesso as the base. While I had the Dusty Pink paint out, I painted the title, a mini heart button and the 'you are the best' sentiment.

Next, I painted all of the leaves with the Dusty in Colour Jungle Green paint. Once they were dry, I drew some detail on them using a fine white Posca Paint Pen.

The Dusty Attic products used:

Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today! I hope you find some time to be inspired by the mood board too.

Cheers
Belinda

Dream - Kristy Abela - Mood Board Inspiration

 Hi Dusty FanAttic's
Where has this year gone! Its time for me to start thinking about gifts for Christmas. I really struggle to find cost effective and unique gifts so I often make my own. I used this mood board to put together a bouquet canvas for one of the lucky ladies in my life. I can't tell you who, but I will let you know if she liked it come New Year.

I used some techniques I learned from doing an online course with Laly Millie. She reminded me that I hadn't use my canvases as much as I used to. So I pulled one out and got busy.

Thanks for looking and I hope today is as beautiful as a Bouquet!

Extra long Card Set - Anat Weksler - Mood Board Inspiration

Hello crafty friends!

I am back today to share my Moodboard inspired project with you – a couple of extra long cards or shall we call them panels?!

I love extra long cards and tags,  here as I wanted the old wooden fence background, I've created ,to show well  I made them even longer than usually.

This background was pretty quick to create, if you will be interested I can make a video tutorial show the step by step or Dusty Attic have a 12x12 old wooden fence that has these wider pickets.

The Chipboards were colored with different Finnabair Impasto paints mixed with Texture Powder.

I used a variety of gorgeous chippies:
