You and Me - Patricia Basson

Hello dear Blogfriends...
Today I am sharing a page for Dusty Attic using one of the photos taken during the Photoshoot we had as a family a few month ago, this is me and Hubby...
I used paper and cutouts from the Craft O'clock collection, Time of Reflections.

I first gesso'd the Botanical Ring and the Lemon Leaves. The leaves I colored by pressing a Delicata Golden Glitz Inkpad from Tsukineko onto them a few times. It really gave a rich Golden color to them.
I used Art Alchemy waxes, Vintage Silk and Sweet Rose on the Botanical Ring and the Leafy Scroll. Both pieces were cut and placed on either side of my photo.

The Swirly Flourish and Mini Caption I colored by mixing Liquid Metals, Metallic Mandarin from Ken Oliver and Alizarin Crimson Brushos powder with some liquid Gel medium resulting in the beautiful two-toned effect. I thinned the mixture with some water and painted the Brackets and Word Tag with it.

Some flowers, Lace, Skeleton Leaves, Chunky Glitter and Metallic Flakes are added to finish this loving page...

From the Dusty Attic On-line shop I used the following products.

Altered Canvas - Patricia Basson - Mood Board Inspiration

Hello dear Dusty Attic friends....

Todays share is a Canvas that I created using the April Moodboard colors as inspiration. I used two heart shaped Jigsaw puzzles on the canvas. Now the puzzles are not from Dusty Attic, but I am linking the Jigsaw Pieces that are available in the on-line store should you wish to create something similar....

I covered the Canvas with rice-paper, placed the first heart on it and sealed all with clear Gesso. I used paper paste from Finnabair through a stencil. After drying I painted with Yellow Amber Rainbow Color from 13arts mixed with water.
I shadowed the Heart and the edges of the canvas with some Ink Black Liquid Acrylics.
I took a few pieces of the second puzzle and foiled them with some Gilding Flakes. I then grunged them with a little Brown Rust effect Paste and Rusty Patina Paste by Cadence.

The Moon by Nuneka for Dusty Attic and Mini Monarch Butterflies were embossed with Industrial Revolution Embossing Powder from Cosmic Shimmer. I embossed the Foliage # 23 and Leafy Scroll with Taos Sunset Baked Textures by Seth Apter for Emerald Greek.
I then proceeded to layer all the pieces starting with the Leafy Scroll and adding the Puzzle pieces and Foliage with the Moon. I used some Phoenix Effect Paste from Finnabair to add some sparkle and shine to the grungy look of the canvas.
Added elements are a Resin frame, also foiled and a Paperdoll and Transparent wings from Tim Holtz.

I do hope someone feels inspired to create something similar...
In the Dusty Attic On-line shop you will find all the items I have used.
