A full year - Michelle Van Oudtshoorn

Hi there,

Welcome to March! And back today with a new layout.

I loved these month chipboards and really wanted to use them all on one layout - and came up with this layout using a Mintay paper that was perfect to display these monthly chippies.

All chipboard is painted using Prima Art Alchemy metallique paints.

I have fussy cut the flowers and elements and layered these with ivy leaves.

These are the products I have used:

December Captured

Hello Dusty Attic fans!!

Belinda here with you today to share my project for December.

This month I have created a Christmas layout! Well it is December. I had to, right?

I used the Week 46 Sketch to jump start my layout. Let's face it. This time of year is so crazy that a sketch is needed to take all of the thinking out of it! I LOVE Jen's sketches for this very reason.

'December Captured'

I used some subtly patterned Christmas paper for the background and added a splash of colour using my favourite mint green paint. I then added some soft layers using tissue paper, printed vellum and patterned paper to suit the sketch. The printed gold stars on the vellum led to me using star shaped chipboard and painting them gold with a gold Posca Pen.

As well as the stars, I also painted the Circles Broken Bits with the same gold Posca Pen and slipped them in under the vellum. I glued on the painted stars before adding my photos on top.

Next I painted the twine bow chipboard with the gold Posca Pen. Once dry, I glued it onto the layout between the tops of the photos. I added an actual twine bow on top and then finished with a sweet little Jingle Bell by Tim Holtz. I altered a couple of Luggage Tags using both the gold Posca Pen and a white one and then glued them onto the layout to help hold the twine ends in place.

I painted the title using the same Posca Pens and glued onto the layout overlapping them for a fun look. Then I finshed with a few little quotes in matching colours.
