Hand made card set - Patricia Basson

Gooday Friends...

For today's Dusty Attic blogpost I have created two cards for you.
I used paper from the beautiful Mintay, City of Love collection.

It may not be easy to see, but I did some awesome coloring on the Lillies Chipboard. Firstly the chippies were coated with thin layer of white Gesso. I then used the following products applying and going over until I was satisfied with the result. I used Antique Rosewood Matt Chalk Polish from Cosmic Shimmer. Also used Pastel Dirty Pink and Patina Brown Mist from 13Arts as well as Bayou Boogie Gold Spray from Lindy's Stampgang. Somewhere in between I also used White Acrylic Paint as well...
The cute little Bees were embossed with Dessert Moon Turquois Embossing Powder from Lindy's. I stamped a stitched motif on the edges and embossed it with Turkish Nights Embossing Glitter from WOW!.

I painted the Hexagon pieces with a Pink Acrylic paint, when dry I embossed them with an embossing folder. I then scrapped Icicle Distress Crackle Paste from Tim Holtz in the crevasses and let it dry. I painted a little of the Patina Brown Spray on it to highlight the cracks.
I used a Gold and Rosewood foil to Heat foil the Mini Foliage and Leaves.

I used the following pieces from the Dusty Attic on-line shop.

Thank you for taking the time to read my post...Hope you enjoyed.

I still find each day too short
for all the thoughts I want to think,
all the walks I want to take,
all the books I want to read,
and all the friends I want to see.

Remember Today - Karan Gerber - Mood Board Inspiration

Hello Creatives and welcome back! Today i am sharing a project for Dusty Attic.

This project is based on this months mood board, which is filled with bright and vibrant colors.

Using a photo of my nephew and at the time this photo was taken, his fiance, who are now married. I added sepia tones to the photo and then added in some layers. The colors in this collection make this months mood board easy to work with.

Beginning with some mystic flourish flame, i set the photo on that, then added bookplates, and Mystic Flourish in and around my flowers

I set my title on the florals painting it a light blue using chalk paint.  I cut apart the mystic flourishes and added then in and around my flowers.

You still have time to try out this months mood board.

Some kind of Wonderful Card set - Ankarika Craft

  Hi there!

For the last TWO WEEKS I have been working on twin cards in the winter version. It took me so long because I had time for creation in just one weekend and literally looked in the studio for brief moments during the week - the tiredness gave me a hard time recently.

In the meantime, check out what I've made. These two cards are extremely layered, stiff and solid. I'm kindly pleased with myself. I made them in collaboration with Dusty Attic - yes, yes, the stencil and chipboards used in this piece are actually my beloved designs from Dusty Attic. If you're not already familiar with this chippies manufacturer, I encourage you to visit the shop and you'll be amazed at the number of fantastic designs for every occasion.

This time I used papers from Craft Sensations, embossed it with a 3D embossing folder from Sizzix and sewed it on the machine. The cardboards are protected with white gesso, covered with Glimmer Paste from Nuvo, which gives a fantastic snowy sheen. Finally, I coloured them a little with water colour paint from Cosmic Shimmer in the shade Copper Sheen.

As is my usual behaviour, I had to do something that I hadn't tried before. The choice fell on washi tape. I glued a fairly wide strip of washi tape (about 3.5cm) onto the scrapbook paper and then cut it into thin strips (about 2-3mm). I layered these strips in the legs of the deer to create the illusion that they were standing on something - rather than levitating in the air.

Finally, I sprinkled the work with small beads from Finnabair. How do you like my welcome to winter?  Let me know if you also have made winter projects already and if you like this time of year in your studio. Warm greetings!

Today's memories are Tomorrow's treasures - Kerstin Filou - Mood Board Inspiration

Welcome everyone!

Rainbow time at Dusty Attic 😃

I must say  in our gloomy clary gray november days a not so easy topic for me,

I remembered beautiful childhood days when we made soap bubbles

and were happy when we saw a rainbow in the quickly bursting bubbles.

I created a simple layout, where I used some stencils for the background,
I added also some acrylic mist paints and a flower in rainbow colors.

The chipboards from Dusty Attic
complement the whole and make it lively.
