You and Me - Deb Stephens - Mood Board Inspiration

Here is my interpretation on April's mood board challenge.

Pink can sometimes be challenging for me, but with the variety of tones to choose from in this months board, I picked the shades that appealed to me and went with a simple mixed media Layout.

It started on a 12x12 Canson watercolour sheet and I applied Prima Graphite paste through the Fan Stencil (DA1320) and while the paste was still wet , I sprinkled sections with copper embossing powder and heat set it. I then sprinkled on some Lindy's Stamp gang colour shot powders and sprayed with water to move around and then dried it. I then spot stamped some grid lines and text around the page with black Archival ink.

After that I painted the Mini Cogs DA0689 with black gesso and applied Lindys Starburst powder in Iced Alpine. Then I embossed the two Industrial Scrolls (DA1542) with Tao Sunset embossing powder mixed with some Red and Gunmetal Grey embossing powder as well and heat set.

I then finished off with flowers and stalks in various sizes from my stash and some from 49&market in Midnight and Rustic Blooms. I added a Tim Holtz charm and some black and clear diamantes and red beads in various spots. The last step was adhering the word chip from the Wordpl@y #4 Black – DA1788 set onto the photo.

 Hello my dears!

It's Saturday afternoon and it's been raining all over England since early morning. Such weather seriously deprives me of my will to live. It should be banned because of its side effects on the human psyche. Although... At least the plants will revive a bit... Meanwhile, today I will describe the process of creating a layout made to order. A wonderful wife, after 23 years of marriage, loving her husband with a mature love, full of empathy and tenderness - wanted to give him such a gift. The expectations were few but they decided about the style and colors. Well, in the central workplace there was to be a photo of them from the wedding and a Mercedes truck theme in a shade of red, and the whole work was to be kept as a male one.

 Hello crafty friends!

It's Anat here with my new project using fabulous Dusty Attic's Chipboards - a Pocket Planner.

To create this textured cover I used a few mediums like: Crackle Paste, Sand Paste and Mini Art Stones. When dry I brushed on top Fantasy Effect Paste and sprayed over my eternal love - Lindy's Cowabunga Copper Spray.

Chipboards were made to embellish this kind of planners -  not too 3D but very bold and visible, two layers are enough to acheive an impressive outcome, resistant and durable final product when adhering correctly and adding a fixative spray. To complete the composition on the cover I added Mini hardware  Metal elements.

The gorgeous chipboards were sprayed with a few Lindy's Sprays and Dry Brushed with Finnabair's Metalique Paints.
