Paw prints on my Heart - Kerstin Filou - Mood Board Inspiratiion

Welcome creative friends!

Today a new inspiration for our delightful February Moodboard by
Dusty Attic

I was inspired to create a 12 x 12 layout with my favourite theme, Sea, sun and dogs.

The photos are a beautiful memory on a relaxful summer holiday some
years ago.

Have you seen this wonderful soft tone colours on our Moodboard this
month,
an amazing picture with natural feeling, which reminds me on blooming
meadows,
but also to the dunes and sea.

 some close up's

I'm totally in love with this awesome
Seadragons
I
used a light grey chalky paint as prime and added randomly on some
places
a
very special Embossing powder 'Hammerd Metal' from Emerald
Creek.

on the phrases I used the same technique as on the Sea dragon

often it is enough to paint the chippies only with a soft dry
brush
and white acrylic paint

used Dusty Attic
chipboards

I hope I could inspire you

and I am looking forward to see what you come up  with this months challenge.

Happy crafting!

Thanks for your visit!

Hello Winter - Adri Du Preez - Mood Board Inspiration

Hello everyone!

I am back with layout inspired by the beautiful February mood board. I love the soft colours of this mood board. It looks like snow and winter and cold, and that is why I used these photos of my daughter.

Here is the mood board.

and here is my layout.

For my title "hello Winter" I used a digital brush designed by Kate Pertiet.

This is how I treated the chippies.
I inked the beautiful Decorative Frame #4 with Versa Magic in Sea Breeze.

The Scroll Set #2 and Iron Accents #4 were heat embossed with Ranger Embossing Powder in White. I snipped the Scroll Set into pieces and tucked them under the flower clusters.

The Wattle Blossoms were heat embossed with Iced Enamels in Turquoise.

The leaves #2 were painted with Americana Acrylic paint in Grey Storm and dabbed with white acrylic paint.

The Wordpl@y elements are my favourite chippies and adds magic to any layout.

Some close ups.

These are the Dusty Attic chipboard pieces that I used.

Thank you for visiting the blog today.  I hope you find some time to play along with this mood board and some gorgeous Dusty Attic chippies.

Happy crafting!

Sandy Toes - Belinda Spencer

Hello Dusty Attic fans!!

Belinda here today to share my take on the February Mood Board. I have created a pretty beach themed layout inspired by the gorgeous colours in the mood board.

Super pretty right?!

Here's what I created.

'Sandy Toes'

I first grabbed my coral coloured Heidi Swapp Color shine to add that colour to my background paper. Once dry, I added some stenciling using the Scales Stencil and some white gesso. I use a latex make-up wedge in a light dabbing motion for a lovely smooth application. I added some stamping too using the darker grey blue in the mood board.

I painted all of my chipboard pieces with the white gesso and let it dry. I added the stunning Baroque Frame to my layout first and then placed some messy blue thread across the centre of the page.

Next I layered up my matching patterned papers and added those to the right hand side of the frame. I slipped in a couple of cute Polaroid Frames and foliage.

I painted the title and the sweet Sand Dollars with the same Colour Shine as the background and added those when dry along with the photo and other embellishments.

The Dusty Attic products used:

Thanks for stopping by the blog today. I hope you are feeling inspired by the mood board too. Why not give it a go?!

Cheers

Paw Prints on my Heart - Anat Weksler -Mood Board Inspiration

Hello crafty friends!
Today I'm sharing with you my take on the Beautiful and Tender February moodboard.

As soon as I started thinking about the project I knew I wanted to create something using  my Daughter's picture with Juice our Cat.

I started by adding Black sand Paste on my MDF hoop, next I've attached a Lace Fabric at the back of the hoop and adhered , on the fronte, part of the Geometric Panel, together with some Finnabair Art Pebbles and  Mechanicals Numbers. I covered everything with Black gesso.

Next step was to brush evrything with Finnabairs new Matte Waxes - Patina Blue, Old White and rub here and there a bit of Brushed Iron Metalique Wax.

The Paw Prints on My Heart chipboard I covered with the Matte Wax Patina Blue and the  Paw Prints  chipboards with Rusty Red Matte wax.

To color the amazing Entangled Heart I sprayed Lindy's Poinssetia Red Gold and than brushed a bit of Old White Matte Wax. The gorgeous effect of two tones happens due to the lazer design  on top of the chipboard - isn't it perfect?!

Finnaly I rubed Brushe Iron Metalique Wax on the  Mystic Flourish.

To create the composition I added lace and some metal elemnts.

Hope I inspired you to create a project following our mood board  to join us!

Thanks for stopping by!
