its all about ME - Heather Woodall

 Good morning

Today I've gone steampunk again. I've had this round wooden serving tray in my stash for a little while to do something with, and this month was the month. I have also taken my inspiration from this month's mood board challenge.

I started by adding some white crackle paste to the base (which is now the top) and around the sides. I helped it crackle by heating it a little. I then used a combination of Lindys Magicals and Distress Stains to get the colouring I wanted. I wasn't aiming for a tree stump look, but I think that's kind of what I ended up with. Happy accident.

I had this beautiful paper collection from Studio 73 which I cut some elements from and added them to the now top of the tray using a combination of levels of foam tape and clear drying glue. I also added some tulle ruffles to the skirt for extra dimension and softeness.

I also added some 49 and Market Flowers just to soften it a little.

The chipboard title "It's All About Me" - DA33419 - https://dustyattic.com.au/product/its-all-about-me/ - was simply inked with Speckled Egg Distress Oxide Ink and then stuck down.

The remaining chipboard pieces were inked with a combination of rusty orange colour distress oxided inks and speckled egg distress oxide ink.. They were then tucked in amongst the layers of the papers and flowers

I finished off my project by adding some glossy accents to the title and to the dress and cat.

Dreams, Canvas Panel - Pascale B Scrap

Hello Sweeties,

Today I'm up on Dusty Attic blog with a new mixed media canvas.

Photo by hp koch on Unsplash

First I primed the canvas with black gesso. Next, I cut a paper into small pieces. I stamped all the pieces with black ink and different stamps on the edges. I primed all the pieces with clear gesso and inked all the edges with black ink before gluing them on the canvas. The next step was to add a design with a stencil and paper paste.

I primed all the chipboards with white gesso. I painted the Geo Tribal Arrow #1 and the Moons #2 by Nuneka with different liquid acrylic paints. I painted the Seedlings #2 with Burnt Sienna paint as well as the horns of the Cow Skull.

I glued all the elements with a 3D Matte gel. I added some sisal to remind the hair of the girl.

I added some flowers as well which I colored with blue and brown inks. I colored the design with the same inks.

To finish, I added some Golden Dragon paste, sequins,  and glitter.

Card Set - Anat Weksler

 Hello crafty friends!

Anat here today with a new bright, bold and colorful set of cards.

I believe I already mentioned that I love using Dusty Attic's chipboards negatives and left overs! I  simply keep them all LOL and that's for some reasons.

In my new cards I'm showing that when using leftovers and negatives together with the amazing chipboards we get such a wonderful outcome. I encourage you, my friends, to do the same. Dusty Attic's chipboard material is so fine everyone should keep it!

I colored all chipboards with Finnabair's impasto paint and fantasy pastes.

Here are the gorgeous pieces I've used:

DA2457 - Polaroid frame set#4

DA2513 - Industrial stars#2
