Wild - Pascale B - Mood Board Inspiration

Hello Sweeties,

Today I'm up on Dusty Attic with my first project of the year. I decided to make a canvas with another photo from the amazing Christina Fisher

The photo I chose was perfect to work with the beautiful January color combo.

I covered the canvas with plaster paste. When dry, I added a design with the Circle Dot stencil and Metallic flakes. Next, I painted the background with different brown and green paints. I darkened the edges with black paint. When happy with the result, I added clear crackle paste.

I primed all the chipboard elements with white gesso. I attached the Boho Feather to the Designer Disc - Dreamcatcher with chains. In between, I added a few Wildflowers #1. On top of the Dreamcatcher, I add a Cow Skull #1. Under the photo, I added some Foliage #27 and poppies pods from my garden.

When all the elements of the composition were in place, I began to paint everything. I started to paint the Dreamcatcher and the elements around in brown, then I added orange to the Wildflowers and the Feathers.

I colored the Foliage and the poppy pods with green paints with a little orange.
To finish, I highlight some details with Aged Brass wax.

Skull Brush - Pascale B

Hello Sweeties,

Today I'm up on Dusty Attic blog with an altered paintbrush.

I primed the brush with black gesso after I have glued a piece of lace on the handle.

For once I decided to start the composition from the "bottom" to the top and to paint the elements layer by layer with black gesso. The Dusty Attic chipboards are not too fragile, but you need to be careful nonetheless with elements like the Wildflower #3 or the Branches #4.

So the second layer was the wings, the  Tropical Leaves #9, and the Layered Flourish. To know where I will place them I checked with the biggest elements. In this case the ATC Frame #6.  Again, I primed all the chipboards with the black gesso. Next, I add the frame and the Fancy Accents #2. I finished the composition with the Tropical Leaves #9 and the flowers from the Boho Skull.

When everything was black, I colored all the elements with the Old Silver wax. I used the Electric Violet and Heather Hills waxes to color the flowers from the Wildflowers, the Old Denim for the Fancy Accents #2. For the wings, I used Violet liquid acrylic.

I covered the edges of the ATC frame with silver metallic flakes and the bird skull with gold metallic flakes. I painted the base of the frame and the inside of the eyes of the skull with the Sparkling Onyx Jewel paste.

To finish the brush, I added a few flowers and glitters.

Card Set - Anat Weksler

 Hello crafty friends!

Anat here today with a new bright, bold and colorful set of cards.

I believe I already mentioned that I love using Dusty Attic's chipboards negatives and left overs! I  simply keep them all LOL and that's for some reasons.

In my new cards I'm showing that when using leftovers and negatives together with the amazing chipboards we get such a wonderful outcome. I encourage you, my friends, to do the same. Dusty Attic's chipboard material is so fine everyone should keep it!

I colored all chipboards with Finnabair's impasto paint and fantasy pastes.

Here are the gorgeous pieces I've used:

DA2457 - Polaroid frame set#4

DA2513 - Industrial stars#2

DA2355 - Swirls#2

Here are some closeups so you can see all details:
