Cherish Yesterday - Adri Du Preez - Mood Board Inspiration

Hello everyone!

Here is my layout inspired by the beautiful December mood board, and the last one for 2019!  The next one will be in 2020, and I am looking forward sharing the mood board inspirations with you, they are just stunning! I used the After the rain paper from the beautiful 49 and Market collection Serendipitouse.

On the background I used the Leaves Stencil and a finger dauber with Archival Ink in Paradise Teal and Cobalt.

All the chipboard pieces were first covered with a layer of this gesso. I heat embossed the title with Iced Enamels in Amethyst.

 Dusty Attic has a multitude of beautiful frames to choose from.  The one I used is the Decorative Frame #5 and I also cover the frame with white gesso. I painted the frame with America acrylic paint in Pansy Lavender and Bahama blue and dry brushed with white gesso and Metallique wax in Vintage Gold for a distressed look.

The leaves were embossed with white embossing powder.

The foliage were painted with America Acrylic paint in Bahama Blue and Victoria blue and dry brushed with white gesso.

I inked the edges of the wood slices with brown ink and dry brushed with white gesso.

When everything was glued down I added art stones and splatters with white gesso and Distress Spray Stain in Seedless preserves.

Beauty - Hetty Hall - Mood Board Inspiration

Good Morning Dusty Fans and welcome to my last blog post for 2019. Can you believe it is nearly Christmas? I don't know where this year has gone. Today I am sharing a layout created based on this month's stunning mood board and used lots of 49 and Market goodies as well as several gorgeous Dusty Attic Chipboard pieces, I particularly love that chandelier and frame.

 I mainly picked the purple and aqua colours from the mood board with a touch of brown or in my case gold by simply adding some opal magic - violet to all my chosen chipboard pieces. When you add it to plain chipboard it really brings out the gold hues with a touch of violet, depending on the light. Once painted I set all my chipboard pieces aside to start working on my design by choosing my background paper and flowers, all of course from 49 and Market. I played around with my design for a while, sometimes this take longer then a while but this layout came together fairly quick. I added some white gesso to some of the flowers to soften the colours a bit and finished it by adding some artstones.

Christmas Bauble - Kasia Salmanowicz - Mood Board Inspiration

Hello!

Beautiful Christmas decorations enchant us from all sides. I also decided to make bauble in retro style. I used to this Christmas chipboard and white pearls, which are arranged in beautiful swirls. Everything in shades of brown and a little bit of violet accent, although a result of whole was very bright because I whitening it with white acrylic paint. 

I found that this effect suits me best. A project inspired by moodboard 

As a standard, I covered a cardboard with a thin layer of white gesso, because during make mixed media I use a lot of water and gesso helps protect surface.

Elements which I glued by using heavy body gel and color with acrylic mediums.

Like I said mixed with water, but the colors were blurred and not so pronounced. Finally, after drying, strongly brightened and splashed in several

places. It’s almost like snow;)) which is very much lacking in Poland, where I live.

This bauble is also my last project for Dusty Attic. It was extremely inspiring andbusy year for me. Thank you very much Jennifer and Jen for the trust, for the

many wonderful products I received. You are amazing and very talented. I hug

you so much!

Clockworks - Anat Weksler - Mood Board Inspiration

Hello crafty friends!

I'm back today with my Moodboard inspired project. Such gorgeous colors and image, I'm sure it inspires you very much!

From Moodboard I've chosen  the Blue and Purple color and added Gold and a bit of White.

I started my piece by cutting a round cardboard circle as a base to the gorgeous Clockworks. I've painted it with a mix of Blue and Black impasto paint, added a bit of Aged Teal Embossing Powder and finnaly rubed it with Vintage Gold wax.

To the base I added texture with a stencil and texture paste, covered with Mediterranean Impasto paint and rubed it with Vintage Gold wax.

I gathered some more chipboards and treated them with the same colors adding Amethyst Magic Wax. Here they are:

The Foliage #4 was painted with Dragonfly Metalique paint and brushed with Amethyst Magic Wax.

To complete the project I colored white flowers with Lindy's Whale Watch Blue and Sweet Violet Purple Teal Sprays. I aslo added some paper die cuts.
