Snow frame - Kerstin Filou

Welcome creative friends!

I found a beautiful old picture frame at the flea market.
I wanted to create a very natural picture matching the birch bark.

I decided for a picture with hoarfrost and snow on a frosty morning.

Today, Tomorrow, always - Anguree Van Rensburg

Hello dear friends

Today I'm back, sharing my take on our beautiful mood-board this month. And since February is a bit of a romantic month, I thought I'd create this romantic layout featuring my cousin and his gorgeous wife.

I used the new Vintage Artistry - Sky collection by 49 And Market in combination with accents of Vintage Artistry - Coral. I started by tearing one piece of patterned paper  and joined it with another. To blend them smoothly, I added texture paste, using a 13@rts stencil. Once this was dry I layered a couple of die-cuts from the Coral Paper using double side foam tape.

To match these beautiful papers and mood-board colours,  I've decided on using two different colours for all my chipboard pieces. First, I inked the clock and cog pieces with Versa Ink Pixie Dust and Coral. Next I inked the chandelier and flourish pieces using a combination of Distress Ink, Salty Ocean and white gesso.

You will see I used quite a bit of chipboard and cut some pieces smaller to fit my design.

To finish it of I simply added 2 clusters of flowers and a 13@rts sentiment sticker.

Thank you for visiting us today. I hope you enjoyed your time here and will be back soon to check out the work by the rest of our team.

Till next time, have fun and take care.

Birdhouse - Aleksandra Mihelic

Hello dear Dusty Attic friends,

It's my turn today on Dusty Attic blog and I would like to share with you a project I made using lots of gorgeous Dusty Attic chipboards. Spring is slowly coming into town here in Slovenia. Actually I remember beeing young we had such wonderful winters with lots of snow and I enjoyed them so much. But for the last couple of years, winters are getting milder and milder here and this year we practically had something between autumn and spring for the last half of a year. So it's only appropriate for me to finally start with spring creations. This time I'm sharing with you my Finnabair Metal Bird house that I made using lots and lots of Dusty Attic chipboards and Finnabair mixed media supplies. Inside the house a small owl is hiding. I love owls!

Hope you liked my project and it inspires you somehow. Thank you for joining me and see you next time.

Have a lovely day!
Hugs, Aleksandra

Paw prints on my Heart - Kerstin Filou - Mood Board Inspiratiion

Welcome creative friends!

Today a new inspiration for our delightful February Moodboard by
Dusty Attic

I was inspired to create a 12 x 12 layout with my favourite theme, Sea, sun and dogs.

The photos are a beautiful memory on a relaxful summer holiday some
years ago.

Have you seen this wonderful soft tone colours on our Moodboard this
month,
an amazing picture with natural feeling, which reminds me on blooming
meadows,
but also to the dunes and sea.

 some close up's

I'm totally in love with this awesome
Seadragons
I
used a light grey chalky paint as prime and added randomly on some
places
a
very special Embossing powder 'Hammerd Metal' from Emerald
Creek.

on the phrases I used the same technique as on the Sea dragon

often it is enough to paint the chippies only with a soft dry
brush
and white acrylic paint

used Dusty Attic
chipboards

I hope I could inspire you

and I am looking forward to see what you come up  with this months challenge.

Happy crafting!

Thanks for your visit!

Hello Winter - Adri Du Preez - Mood Board Inspiration

Hello everyone!

I am back with layout inspired by the beautiful February mood board. I love the soft colours of this mood board. It looks like snow and winter and cold, and that is why I used these photos of my daughter.

Here is the mood board.

and here is my layout.

For my title "hello Winter" I used a digital brush designed by Kate Pertiet.

This is how I treated the chippies.
I inked the beautiful Decorative Frame #4 with Versa Magic in Sea Breeze.

The Scroll Set #2 and Iron Accents #4 were heat embossed with Ranger Embossing Powder in White. I snipped the Scroll Set into pieces and tucked them under the flower clusters.

The Wattle Blossoms were heat embossed with Iced Enamels in Turquoise.

The leaves #2 were painted with Americana Acrylic paint in Grey Storm and dabbed with white acrylic paint.

The Wordpl@y elements are my favourite chippies and adds magic to any layout.

Some close ups.

These are the Dusty Attic chipboard pieces that I used.

Thank you for visiting the blog today.  I hope you find some time to play along with this mood board and some gorgeous Dusty Attic chippies.

Happy crafting!
