Hello dear Dusty Attic friends,

It's my turn today on Dusty Attic blog and I would like to share with you a project I made using lots of gorgeous Dusty Attic chipboards. Spring is slowly coming into town here in Slovenia. Actually I remember beeing young we had such wonderful winters with lots of snow and I enjoyed them so much. But for the last couple of years, winters are getting milder and milder here and this year we practically had something between autumn and spring for the last half of a year. So it's only appropriate for me to finally start with spring creations. This time I'm sharing with you my Finnabair Metal Bird house that I made using lots and lots of Dusty Attic chipboards and Finnabair mixed media supplies. Inside the house a small owl is hiding. I love owls!

It's never too late - Aleksandra Mihelic - Off the page

Hello my dear crafty friends,

It's my turn today on Dusty Attic blog and I would like to share with you a project I made using lots of gorgeous Dusty Attic chipboards. As some of you know, I enjoy altering different everyday objects - old or new ones, old ones are actually even more exciting as you give them a new purpose and recycle them. This time I decided to alter Kitchen Cutting board and turn it into a wall hanging with lots of Dusty Attic chipboards and Finnabair mixed media supplies.

I first added some Finnabair texture paste through a stencil on my cutting board. Then I colored my Dusty Attic chipboards with Finnabair rust and effect pastes. I attached them to a base, added some rust effect pastes here and there on the base also and then added some embellisments and main composition. After dry I dry-brushed everything with a coat of white gesso to blend it all together.

Hello dear Dusty Attic fans,

I'm so happy to be here with you on the blog today again. I fell in love with this month's gorgeous Moodboard and its soft and bright colors. 

I decided to go with a magical sea and mermaid theme and I altered this lovely keepsake box. I hope you'll like it.

 

I first covered my box with white gesso and colored it with two different shades of yellow. Then I covered Dusty Attic chipboard piece Mystic Frame with white gesso and applied some soft pink and soft yellow embossing powder on top.I added some 49 and Market flowers and resin Mermaid tail and some beautiful 49 and Market layered embellishments. I also used some Foliage chipboards to add to the top of the box. I colored them with green Finnabair Art Alchemy paint and some Lindy's green Squirts on top. 

I embellished also the sides of the box, using some Doodads chipboard pieces that I also colored with green Finnabair Art Alchemy paint and some Lindy's green Squirts on top. I also added some 49 and Market Layered embellishments to the sides.

At the end I slightly dry-brushed everything on top with a bit of a white gesso to blend everything together and added few splashes with diluted white acrylic paint.

Hello hello my dear crafty friends. I'm back again with you here on the blog sharing some fresh summerish inspiration with amazing Dusty Attic chipies,. My mind immediatelly traveled to breathtaking peacock feathers chipies in Dusty Attic store and I decided to do something with it. I arranged it in the middle of the composition with various other stunning chipboard pieces, some Mitform castings embellishments and some beautiful Prima flowers. Of course I couldn't go without tons of my favourite Finnabair supplies. I hope you'll like the outcome as much as I do.

First I covered my canvas with a coat of clear gesso and applied some texture paste through a stencil. After the texture paste was dry I added some colors using Pastel Finnabair Impasto paint and some coordinating pastel Finnabair Mica powders. I did some stamping on top. I colored my chipboard pieces with same Finnabair Impasto paints and added some highlights with coordinating Lindy's gang sprays and squirts. When chipboards were dry I dry-brushed them with some white gesso and the beautiful Heart piece I also embossed partialy with Lindy's embossing powder. The light bulb chipboard piece is colored with Finnabair metalic gold wax. I arranged everything into composition, added some delicate Prima flowers and some beautiful Mitform castings pieces. For the finishing touch I added some art pebbles, some gold glass glitter and some white glitter. I also added few splashes with diluted with acrylic paint on top.

Mechanical Fantasy altered giftbox - Aleksandra Mihelic - Mood Board Inspiration

Hello my dear crafty friends. It's been some time since my last post. I've had some health issues to take care off and I missed my creative hours so so much in the meantime. I'm so happy today to be back with you again, sharing my fresh inspiration with you. This time I have for you a gorgeous altered box made with the amazing Dusty Attic chipies and some gorgeous mixed media goodies. As soon as I saw the eye-catching July Moodboard over at Dusty Attic blog, my mind wondered to gorgeous Stamperia paper pad, designed by an amazing artist Antonis Tzanidakis - Mechanical Fantasy. It fitted perfectly to the Moodboard. So I decided to create a rusty Mechanical Fantasy box, using the amazing Finnabair supplies, some Mitform castings metal embellishments bought at Mixed Media Place store and of course the fabulous Dusty Attic chipboards. I hope you'll like my today's project.

I first glued down some Dusty Attic chipboards to my box and colored everything with black gesso. I then dry-brushed it over slightly with white gesso. I colored the box with Lindy's gang Buccaneer Bay Blue Moon Shadow Mist and a bit of a Tainted Love Teal Starburst Spray. I then started adding some highlights with three different Finnabair Texture fantasy pastes -  Cool gray from Old Walls set, Taupe Rose from Anemone and Coral set and Dusty from Camouflage set. I then added some cut outs from Stamperia Mechanical Fantasy paper set and some other embellishments, mainly of course Dusty Attic chipboards.

Live your own Adventure - Aleksandra Mihelic

Hello hello dear Dusty Attic friends and fans. 

I'm here on the blog with you today to share my latest Dusty Attic inspriation with you. I decided to go all grungy and masculine today. I used this gorgeous photo that I bought on one of the pages with Stock photographies. I immediately fell in love with it and with all gorgeous grungy Dusty Attic chipies it was just a match made in Heaven. I also used some beautiful 49 and Market papers to go along and compliment them both and added several Finnabair parts and colors too. I hope you'll like my project.

I used the paper from 49 and Market latest collection "Old School" for the background. I then colores my chipboards with Finnabair Rust paste brown and red rust and went on top with a bit of a Taupe Rose Rust effect paste from Anemone and Coral set to match the color of the car on the photo. On top of the upper chipboards I also used some Firebird Finnabair wax. I then added some cut outs from 49 and Market "Old School" and Ethereal collection and some Finnabair mechanical pieces. For finishing touch I added some micro beads, some gold glass glitter and some gold paint splashes.
