Love and Laughter - Sketch Inspiration - Rikki G

Good morning how are you? I hope you are feeling inspired by the amazing Dusty Attic Design team and the amazing work they share with you each and everyday, I know I am that is for sure. I am here today to share with you this months Sketch Challenge....

Why not give the sketch challenge a go yourself? It is super easy, just add your take to the comments section on the Dusty Attic FANattics page

https://facebook.com/groups/1949690068580466

#47/365

Sometimes when you have a busy paper its nice just to anchor the page with a simple black boarder.

With that idea in mind keep the chipboard one colour also.

I needed something to support the fussy cut flowers so I just cut up the succulent piece of chipboard.

With the chipboard brick wall use the insert on the page, you get two different styles in one piece which makes it great value for money.

Stay tuned to see the teams fabulous work throughout the month.

All you need to do is add your take of the challenge into the comments section on the Dusty FANattics Facebook page HERE for your chance to win one of two amazing $50 Credits to choose any.

Good Luck and have fun creating.

My Happy Place - Jen Burns - Mood Board inspiration

 Hello Dusty FANattics

Jen here today with a layout as inspiration for you to join in the Dusty Attic Mood Board monthly challenge where you could win one of two $50 AUD Credits to the DUSTY ATTIC ONLINE STORE

This is the gorgeous board with it's cool and calming greens and creams.

"My Happy Place"

Just before Christmas one of my most amazingly beautiful friends whom I love dearly came and helped me make my very own "ZEN" place to sit and just be present in the moment.
I find just sitting out here with my plants, statues and a coffee is so relaxing and recharging, so of course I had to take photos and scrapbook a page. Dusty Attic garden gnomes, foliage and garden chippy is perfect.

I started with colouring the Garden Tool #2 set with different shades of green, brown, metallic grey and rust.

Next I have used an array of different greens to use on the Succulents Mixed chippy with highlights of white, yellow and magenta.

The garden gnomes, title and (ZEN) from the Impact ABC set I have spray painted white then distressed the title a little bit.
Did you know that the Impact letters are also sold separately ? Which comes in handy if you need extra vowels or common letters in names like "R" "S" etc.

After that I have used Tri Blend (Spectum noir) pens in Dull Green and Ice Blue Blends to colour the cute little garden Gnomes.

My papers, flowers and laser cut pieces are from the 49 and Market Vintage Artistry Naturalist collection and I have used this mixed inbetween my chipboard pieces.

To finish off my page I have added some rub ons to the ZEN word and popped it into some brackets

Thanks for joining me today and I would love to see your very own creations on the
Dusty FANattics page maybe with your ZEN place.

Profiter de l instant present (Enjoy the Moment) - Pascale B Scrap

Hello Sweeties,

Today I'm up on Dusty Attic blog with a new mixed media panel.

I glued a piece of tissue paper on the lower half of the panel. Next, I added a design with modelling paste and the Flourish stencil. Finally, I paint the upper half of the panel with Dark Chocolate and Eggplant Impasto.

I primed all the embellishments chipboards, resin and metallic elements, with black gesso. When done, I glued them with a few branches to the panel.

I painted the embellishments with different metallique paints from dark purple to dark gold to add different shades. When dry, I highlighted some details from the background and from the embellishments with Aged Brass, White Gold, and White Pearl waxes.

I painted the title from the French Worpl@y # with the Black Berry paints and I added some waxes as well. I added also a few leaves die-cut in a kraft cardboard.

I painted some pebbles with the dark gold. To finish, I added some glitters, microbeads, and mica flakes.

You Shine - Pascale B Scrap - Mood Board Inspiration

Hello Sweeties,

Today I'm up on Dusty Attic blog with a mixed media layout inspired by the color combo of November.

Here is the November color combo

I primed the background with clear gesso. Next, I mixed the gel with three colors of mica powder to make three different pastes. I used them to add a design with the Flourish stencil.

I primed all the chipboards with white gesso. I covered the Antique Frames and the Iron Garnish #6 with white crackle paste. When dry, I colored them with Umber and Ink Black liquid acrylic paints. I glued a piece of paper under both Antique Frames

For the Foliage #9, I used Avocado and Umber liquid acrylic. For the Branches and Berries, I used Burnt Sienna and Avocado, and just a  little bit of Burnt Sienna for the succulent #4.

I cut a piece of clear acetate the width of the page. I added some embellishments under the acetate or on top of it to add more dimension to the page.

To finish I added some glitter and paints to the background.
