Love this - Nadia Cannizzo (and a farewell)

It is with great sadness that this is the last layout Nadia has done as part of the
Dusty Attic Design Team.
Nadia you are amazing and such a beautiful person,
good luck with all that you do in the future.

Hi! Back again today to share with you one more layout created for The Dusty Attic.

"Love This"

OK so this looks kinda busy doesnt it? And it looks like a lot of work went into it yes? Well its true.. a lot of layering here .. but it did not take too long.

Firstly, as with all my layouts I applied clear gesso. From there I used one of my favourite stencils from Memory Box called Distressed Grid on opposite sides of the page. In Australia you can find this stencils at The Scrapbook Store HERE .
You can also find the chipboard pieces I have used here at The Scrapbook Store once again HERE

SO once the embossing paste dried up, I stamped some images in the background with the Prima Stitch stamp and then coloured the squares and the embossing paste with Luminarte Ginger Peach, and Jasmine. These too are available at the Scrapbook Store :)

I also used these colours to paint my Dusty Attic chipboard pieces after painting them with Gesso first

Just above you can see the Small Number Grid from Dusty Attic. I love this piece. I like breaking it up so it doesnt look too square.

Beautiful colours over the embossing paste, using a bit of water too blend them nicely.

 A few splatters for contrast.

Lights - Camera - Action - Nadia Cannizzo

Hello everyone! Nadia here with you again .
Back with you today to share one more layout created for The Dusty Attic

"Lights Camera Action"

Now that I have 3 children, it is very interesting to watch them and see their different personality develop. Is it not true that the first born is usually the cautious one because both parents were probably all of that child because it was the first one? And is it not true by the 3rd child there is no time to take a breath let alone "fuss" over things of ZERO importance which makes kids more resilient, easy going and spontaneous? This is what is going on in this picture.. it sums up exactly what is happening with my 3 daughters. The oldest 2 are having ice cream. The first born wants the baby to try it but the look on her face is one of worry... while if you look at the middle child.. well she is having a great old time LOL No fear, no stress.. just waiting and hoping the baby drops it or something. And then we have the baby.. she's just going along for the ride, into everything and is growing at a much faster rate than the others.. lol She just wants that ice cream!!

I cut the large Number Grid into smaller pieces and matted my photo on it.
I painted it with Gesso and then coloured it with Ginger Peach Twinkling H2O's .

Love That - Nadia Cannizzo

Well good morning. I am hoping you are all well and creating up a storm.

I have one more creation to show you today. This time it is for The Dusty Attic and I must admit to using the same colour scheme I used for my other April project this month. What can I say, I am a tad addicted to the combination of the STUNNING new releases from The Dusty Attic, 9th Wave collection by 7Dots Studio, and the Industrial Chic collection by Lindy's Stamp Gang.

"Love That"

OK OK ... so let me tell you as much as I LOVED the combination I mentioned above, well this layout almost ended up in the bin. I think I tried to do too much and it ended up looking too buy. So what's a girl to do with little time to create anything else AND hearing the baby stir on her sleep which meant I probably wouldnt get back to this for a few days??? well.. God's gift to stressed out mums.. "GESSO"  LOL Yes, once everything had dried and once baby settled again for a few more minutes, I applied white GESSO all over the stenciled background and started again. Thank you dear God :)

Here are some closeups..
