the PERFECT day -- Adri Du Preez - Mood Board Inspiration

Hello everyone!

Welcome to the blog. Here is my layout inspired by the beautiful September mood board which features beautiful Dusty Attic chipboard pieces. 

The beautiful bride on the photo is my daughter-on-law.

All the chippies were first primed with a layer of white gesso and then painted 

with Americana Acrylic paint.

For the Ombre effect on the title, I used Poodleskirt Pink at the top and Boysenberry Pink at the bottom and dry brushed with white acrylic paint in the middle.

The mini titles were painted with white acrylic paint.

The Word Discs were painted with Poodleskirt Pink and dry brushed with white acrylic paint.

The Seedlings were painted with Light Lime and the edges with Lush Foliage.

The Flower Posie #4 is just beautiful. I snipped the posie in pieces, colored it with Posca pens in Pink Rose and Light Green, and tucked them in the flower clusters.

After everything glued down I added pearls splatters with diluted white gesso.

Today's Memories are tomorrow's treasures - Michelle Van Oudtshoorn

Hello lovelies

Well here we are in March already, can you believe it? Here is my layout for this month: 

I have started with two papers, tearing one down top and bottom before adhering to the page. I then add the photo with foam tape, before adding all the fussy cut pieces under it.

I have used DA0335 mini scroll as flourishes - there are two in the pack. These were painted with metallique acrylic paint and then tucked under the fussy cut elements. I then dry brushed a tinged of rusty coloured paint over the chipboard pieces.

The Mini Foliage #2 DA2786 comes with a variety of different shaped mini leaves - and I have used the oak leaves and added these under the laser cut elements - painted with the same acrylic paints, lightly sponged on so as not to lose the veins in the leaves.

The title "Today's Memories are Tomorrow's Treasures" was also lightly sponged with paint so as not to fill the letters with paint, and added to the photo with foam tape.

Adore - Judith Tijsen- Mood Board Inspiration

Hello to you all,

Today I have another inspiration project for you regarding this month's moodboard.

One of my favorite attributes to create a creation with are embroidery hoops. 

And then I usually use two per project in two sizes for an extra nice effect.

How cute is the picture with the romantic couple? 

And the Swirly heart(DA1444) fits perfectly with that, don't you think?

The text Adore comes from Mini Titles set #2, DA2575. This set contains a total of 6 different texts.

Hello everyone!

I am sharing my October design team layout with you, using stunning Dusty Attic chipboard pieces.

For this layout, I used pattern paper from the Vintage Artistry Serenity collection from 49 and Market 49 and Market and Ephemera bits and rub-ons from various other 49 and Market collections.

These photos are of my daughter and the famous teddy.

 

All the chippies were first covered with a layer of white gesso.

Chipboard pieces were painted with Americana Acrylic paint.

The scalloped circle and title were painted with Whispering Turquoise and dry brushed 

with white acrylic paint. On the scalloped circle I used a stamp and added a few rub-ons.

The foliage DA2783 (leaves) was painted with Mint Julep Green and dry brushed with

 white acrylic paint.

I painted the foliage DA2238 with Coral 'n Peaches and Cream and dry brushed it 

with white acrylic paint.

The botanic runners were painted with Uniform and Whispering Turquoise, cut in half, 

and tuck into the flower clusters.

The two mini titles were painted with white acrylic paint.

Just Me - Adri Du Preez

 

Hello everyone!

I am sharing my April design team layout with you.  My layout features a selection 

of beautiful Dusty Attic chipboard pieces.  I used pattern paper from the 49 and Market Vintage Artistry Wedgewood collection. 

We had a wonderful and memorable family photo shoot the week before my daughter 

and her family immigrated to Australia. This is a photo of me. This is the first time I have 

ever made a layout of myself. I do not have many photos of myself, just the random 

snapshot here and there.

Here is my layout.

All the chippies were first covered with a layer of white gesso.

For the Ombre effect on this beautiful title, I used Americana Acrylic paint in Bahama 

Blue and Heritage Acrylic paint in French Navy. I added this beautiful and very true Quoted Sentiment.

I covered the Botanical Ringlet with Americana Acrylic paint in Green Mist and dry 

brushed it with white acrylic paint.

The three mini titles were painted with white acrylic paint.

The Word Disk, foliage, and grass clusters were also painted with Americana Acrylic 

paint in Green Mist, Bahama Blue, Peaches 'n Cream, Sour Apple, and Heritage Acrylic 

paint in French Navy.  All the chippies were then dry brushed with white acrylic paint.

On the background I used rub-ons from the 49 and Market Vintage Artistry 

Wedgewood collection.

The final touches to this layout included art stones and splatters with diluted 

white gesso.
