There is sunshine in my Soul today - Rikki G - Mood Board Inspiration

Good morning how are you? I am here today to share my latest creation for Dusty Attic and its also based on the Moodboard challenge.

I love the colour combination and it was a great way to use up little bits of rub ons left from past collections and its a really easy way to create a background for some Dusty Attic Chipboard.

The Botanical Ringlet isnt a full one it was a little bit left over that I cut away a couple of months ago, but it teams up with the Botanical Runner and Botanics.

I hope this inspires you to play along with the challenge you have a couple of days left to still play along....

Just Us - Adri Du Preez - Mood Board Inspiration

Hello everyone!

Welcome to the blog. Here is my layout inspired by the beautiful October mood board which features beautiful Dusty Attic chipboard pieces.

This is a photo of my beautiful family.

Here is the mood board.

and here is my layout.

All the chippies, except for the mushrooms and toadstools, were first primed with a layer of white gesso and then painted with Americana Acrylic paint.

I painted the title with Georgia Clay and dry brushed with Peaches 'n Cream.

The botanical ringlet was painted with Arbor Green and dry brushed with white acrylic paint. The botanical ringlet was cut in half. The other half I will use for another project.

The wild grass and wheat were painted with Hauser Light Green and True Ochre.

The grass clusters were painted with Arbor Green and Georgia Clay and dry brushed with white acrylic paint.

The wildflowers were painted with Georgia Clay and dry brushed with white acrylic paint.

I colored the Foliage #4 with a sponge and all the above colors.

I covered the toadstools and mushrooms with clear gesso, and then Distress Oxide in Black Soot, Ground Espresso, Rusty Hinge, and Fired Brick. Press the four Distress Oxide Ink pads onto a craft mat and spritz them with water creating small droplets. I started with Black Soot the base color and slid the chippies through the droplets a few times and dry with a heat tool. Repeat with all the colors and dry in between. I also splattered the chippies with the same colors for a mottled effect. I very lightly dry brushed the chippies with Georgia Clay and True Ochre.

I painted the polaroid frame with Mint Julep Green and the edges with white acrylic paint.

The driftwood, plant label, and ticket were painted with Slate Grey and Grey Storm. I inked the edges with Traditional Burnt Amber. To create the weathered wood effect I used a small sponge brush and dry-brushed the paint from left to right.

I also used my favorite Wordpl@y elements.

The final touches to this layout included art stone and splatters with diluted white gesso.

I Love you xoxo - Adri Du Preez

Hello everyone!

In today's post, I am sharing my Design team layout with you, using stunning

Dusty Attic chipboard pieces. These are my precious grandchildren, Janco and Mila.

They just love one another.

I used the Tender Moments paper from the 49 and Market Rouge collection.

Here is my layout.

All the chippies were first covered with a layer of white acrylic paint and then painted

with Americana Acrylic paint.

I painted the Botanical Ringlet with Poodleskirt Pink, and dry brushed the edges with

white acrylic paint.

Boysenberry Pink, Bubble Gum Pink, and Poodleskirt Pink were used on the Heart

Attack panel, Wordpl@y, and Banners. The edges were all dry-brushed with white

acrylic paint.

Leaves #2 were heat embossed with white embossing powder.

Foliage # 10 was painted in Mint Julep Green.

Wordpl@y words are my favorite additions to a layout.

I dry-brushed them with Bubblegum white acrylic paint.

Trust your heart - Adri Du Preez - Mood Board Inspiration

Hello everyone!

Here is my layout inspired by the stunning August mood board, and featuring Dusty Attic chipboard pieces.

For this layout, I used the 49 and Market Vintage Artistry Airy pattern paper from the Essential collections and rub-ons and ephemera stack elements from the Vintage Artistry Coral and Natural collection.

and here is my layout.

All the chippies were first covered with a layer of white gesso.

I covered the Botanical Ringlet with Americana Acrylic paint in Mint Julep Green, Gooseberry Pink, and dry brushed with white acrylic paint, cut it in half, and used the other half under the large butterfly. I used the mini tab "trust your heart" as my title.

The nest and eggs were painted with Americana Acrylic paint in Traditional Brunt Umber, Grey Slate, and, dry brushed with white acrylic paint.

The small branch was coloured with Distress Oxides in Mowed Lawn, Iced Spruce

and Ground Espresso.

The Christmas Berries were painted with Americana Acrylic paint in Gooseberry Pink, and dry brushed with white acrylic paint. Foliage #23 was painted with Americana Acrylic paint in Oyster Beige.
