Industrial Star - Anat Weksler

 Hello crafty friends!

It's Anat here sharing another industrial altered box, this time it is a Star shaped Box already getting ready for winter and Holiday season.

Industrial and Steampunk don't necessarily be brown, we can give the objects made in this style , the colors we think suits best. I decided to go with Blue and Silver adding touches of Metalique Orange using Fire Bird Wax.

First I added texture using the Fabulous  Metal Plates Stencil, and  Graphite past here and there.

Then the Box was all covered with Black gesso, sprayed with some Lindy's sprays and rubbed with Finnabiar's Blue and orange waxes.

Just for you - altered box - Anat Weksler

 Hello friends!

Anat here sharing my project using amazing Dusty Attic's chippies.

I have altered this small box in a way I love: using the gorgeous negative leftovers of chipboard and fabulous chippies. I wanted  to achieve a  Brownish Red color with shades of Black and Gold, for that I painted the box with  Finnabair Dark Chocolate Impasto paint ,the negatives and chippies I covered with Black gesso. The texture was added with Graphite paste. The next step was rubbing everything with Stained wood and Ochre Finnabair's matte waxes and at last rub metalique waxes here and there.

I love how it turned out buy I have to say taking picture of the Box  was  challenging! The gorgeous effect of matte and metalique waxes on the amazing chipboard isn't shown clearly.

totally AMAZING - Michelle Van Oudtshoorn - Mood Board Inspiration

Hello everyone

Back on the blog today with my layout created inspired off the August moodboard

And here is my layout 

This is my gorgeous niece - probably a good 5 or so years ago. 

I have used a paper from 49 and Market Vintage Artistry in Lilac and fussy cut the flowers from the 8"x8" Irrevocable Beauty pack. 

First I applied black gesso to all my chipboard pieces. Once dry I brushed over the pieces with Metallique waxes.

I began my layout using the Brick Wall DA2871 chippie - with the flat side under the photo and then adhering my photo on top of these.

Adding the flowers and then adding the DA0335 small scroll - these were cut up to fit with the layout. I layered the fussy flowers and tucked the mini lace border DA2527

I have added a smaller key to my heart DA1214 with ribbon between the flowers

I have also added a definition "delight" DA2942 - there are a wonderful selection of definitions - and these are really super to enhance layouts 

Once all the flowers and elements were complete, I added the title "totally AMAZING" DA2039
