Altered Tin - Judith Tijsen - Video Tutorial

Hello Dear Dusty Attic fans,

For the first time I made a You-Tube video for you of this creation for Dusty Attic.
At the bottom of this page you can find the link to my You-Tube channel and the video.

After practicing a few times, this is my first video and I hope you enjoy watching my creations come about. So there are not many videos on it yet, but I hope that will change in the future.

And then we will of course talk about the creation itself. I visited my favorite secondhandstore again. Where I found this cute chocolate can.

Hummingbird - Pascale B - Mood Board Inspiration

Hello Sweeties,

Today I'm up on Dusty Attic blog with a layout inspired by the pink colors of the October combo. This color combo was a true challenge for me as all my friends know that I'm not a pink person. Well, I remember this photo taken a few years back of a Hummingbird Hawk Moth. It's a butterfly with a very long trunk that allows it to forage on flowers hovering like hummingbirds. As you can imagine, they are very hard to photograph.

Here's the colour combo for October

Before priming the background, I stamped randomly with black Archival ink and a text stamp. Next, I made a paste with 3D Gloss Gel, Cotton Candy Pink Magical, and pink glitter. I added a design with the Lace stencil using both White Gold Icing paste and the pink paste.

I primed all the chipboards with white gesso. I embossed the Framed Journal Box with Silence is Golden EP.

To color the other chipboards, I used liquid acrylic paints. For the Foliage #6 and the Laurel Sprigs, I used Burnt Sienna, Magenta, and Nude.

I colored the Flower Stamens with the Nude acrylic paint. Finally, I used Nude and Burnt Sienna to paint the Designer Disc #10.

I glued all the chipboards with 3D Matte gel starting with the frame, then the leaves, the flower stamens, and pink flowers.
To finish the layout, I added glitters.

Castle of La Mothe Chandeniers - Pascale B Scrap - Mood Board Inspiration

Hello Sweeties,

Today I'm up on Dusty Attic blog with a transparent frame. I work with a photo of the Castle of La Mothe Chandeniers. This castle was abandoned, but thanks to a call for donations, it is now being safeguarded.

Here is the beautiful mood board with its vintage shades.

I mixed some Ice Frosted paste with a tiny amount of Whale Watch Blue Magical to give the paste a light blue shade. I used this paste to add a design to a piece of acetate with a stencil.

Next, I primed all the chipboards with black gesso. I used only waxes to color them. For the Framed Journal Box, I used first the Charcoal Black which is more Payne Grey, a dark grey with a blue undertone. I added also some Old Denim and Old Silver.

For the Foliage #27 leaves, I used the Sage Leaves which is a matte wax, then the shiny Lucky Emerald. And for the branch of Foliage #23, I began with the Charcoal Black, then Lucky Emerald.

I glued an ATC Frame #4 on top of the photo colored with Charcoal black and Old Silver. I used the matte Shabby Pink, then the Burgundy wax to color the Spring Blooms, as well as the Old Silver in the edges.

Finally, I colored the birdcage with the matte Faded Denim and the metallic Old Silver.

To finish, I added some glitter.
