Treasure the little moments - Karan Gerber - Mood Board Inspiration

Hello Friends and welcome to my blog today. I am sharing some inspiration for Dusty Attic today. I have created a project for the February Mood Board. I decided to work with the blues in the color palette and here is my take.

i cut the large 12 inch ornate circle in half. This way i can get two projects from the outside piece.  I applied some chalk paint to match the colors in the challenge.

The title was painted with a lighter color. by mixing grey and steel blue acrylic paint together to achieve a color i liked and that would match the challenge.

The corner frame i used to frame my photo and i added some 49 and market flowers ( after coloring them with Distress reinkers to achieve the color i wanted to match the challenge.

I used the following pieces to create this layout:

Hope you have enjoyed my Mood Board Inspiration this month, see you next time!

Materials used:
Dusty Attic: Ornate Circle #2; Ornate Corner #13; Treasure the Moments title
49 and Market: Blooms and Serendipitious Paper collection and laser cut sheet
gesso; Deco Art chalk Paint in Grey , fluid acrylic in steel blue

You make me SMILE - Hetty Hall - Mood Board Inspiration

Hey there Dusty Fans, welcome back to the blog for some more mood board inspiration. Mood boards are such a great way to get your creative juices flowing, sometimes I know exactly what I am going to create, other times I have got to think outside the box. This month I concentrated on the yellow, pink and grey/silver.

You make me Smile

I used some gorgeous Colour Blast paper for the background and you will find all the Dusty Attic Chipboard pieces I used below with link back to the store. I covered all my chipboard pieces with grey paint also from Dusty Attic and simply sponged it on it adds a bit of a grunge look. I cut down the Triangle panel a bit and added my photo on top of it with a piece of cardboard for dimension and placed it on my background paper. I then started playing around with my design by placing all the other chipboard pieces around my photo. I also made some flowers from white mulberry paper and dies and sprayed them with some Kaisercraft spray ink to match the colours of my layout. The leaves were die cut from white cardstock and simply coloured with some distress ink. Once I was happy with y design I stuck it all down with my trusty glue gun using lots of layering.

Girls just want to have fun - Adri Du Preez - Mood Board Inspiration

Hello everyone!

Here is my layout inspired by the pretty fun filled January mood board.

This is my daughter and her best friend. I had so much fun doing this photo shoot with them.  I packed a suitcase full of hats and clothes and off we went. I am so thankful that my family are always willing to pose for me.  Sometimes under duress but at least I get the job done.

For this layout I used one of Jennifer Hedger's magic sketches.  This is the mood board and sketch.

and this is my layout.

The chipboard pieces were simply covered with white gesso and painted with acrylic paint. The viewfinders were dry brushed with white gesso. The edges of the chevrons were sanded.

When everything was glued down I added splatters with diluted white gesso and black ink.

These are the  Dusty Attic chipboard pieces that I used.

I primed all the chipboard with clear gesso, then applied a thick coat of clear crackle paint onto some of the areas. After the crackle dried I did another light coat of the clear gesso, then played with blending the waxes listed above. On the feathers I applied a thick coat of the Viva Modellier Cream-Mother of Pearl, & used White Opal Liquid Pearls on the Luxury Scroll.
I altered the flower centers with using Sequins & Prills as the centers & heat embossed the Laser Cuts with using the Versa Mark ink pad & Ranger Embossing powder.....Here are a few more close ups....
