Lynette here, welcome to the blog today. I am sharing my take on the April mood board. I used a photo taken on my 61st birthday this year. I used one of our local South African Brands, Penelope Dee Sienna collection for this page.

Some close up details:
I created a very simple design. I used a patterned paper with large florals as a background paper and cut strips of two matching patterned papers and border punched it before adding it to the middle of the large floral paper. I heat embossed all my chipboard elements in various matching colours. I chose a very light embossing powder for the phrase strips.
The Mystic flourish was first embossed with white embossing powder and then with Tinby pink sorbet metallic Melts. Love the effect.
The string frame was also heat embossed in white and then the Tinby pink sorbet Metallic Melts. I then attached to clusters of fussy cut florals and leaves to the side of the string frame to frame the photo.
I love the way the string frame with the florals draw your attention to the photo.
