Off the Page Project and Canvas - Michelle Carrick - Mood Board inspiration

Good  day fellow artists!

Today  I have two blog posts for you, inspired by this month’s mood board!
This is the first one, an off the page project.

This is something that represents me!
Because without my hands I would not be able to create and do art.

I started off with a mannequin hand, which I attached to an artist pallet.

I then took a paper mask and cut out the “butterfly” design, then adhered it to the hand.
I stapled my Dusty Attic Heart Flourish to the mask.
Using old paint brushes I attached them as
well.

I created the drips of paint using hot glue!

also hot glued my Dusty Attic corner flourishes
After this I painted two coats of heavy gesso and let dry completely.

To
add the colour I used alcohol inks:
Shell pink
Salmon pink
Watermelon
And
Oregano

Then
used gold paint to create the high light effect
Added
my Dusty Attic Title, words and flowers to complete the look.
All
these things represent me!

Happy Creating!!

This is the second blog post for you, inspired by this month’s mood board!
A canvas, this gorgeous little girl is my niece!
Evie did not like the grass at first…

I  started off by attaching my circles (from the bubble chippie) and the view finders to the canvas!
After this I painted with heavy gesso and let dry completely.

I then dropped the colours on to the canvas letting it run.

I painted all the chippies white and then added colour!

I completed the canvas with flowers, butterflies and film strip.
