Christmas Tag, Freeze Frame and Wild & Free - Michelle Carrick

Good morning scrappy peeps!

Hope you had a wonderful week!

I have some inspiration for you!
The first of the bunch for Dusty Attic is an altered Christmas Tag.
I took normal paper, stamped it with a script stamp and stained it with coffee then attached it to a board.

Dusty Attic Blackboard words are so striking on the light colours

Rolled left over paper into straws.

Products used:

I hope enjoyed!

My second creation

All these are based on the December mood board.
I'm just loving the colours for this month.

Here a altered tapestry ring, which I have been dying to try!
This is my brothers dog, Ori, and he loves the snow!

Using Penelope Dee paper...I wet the paper to fit into the ring and cut off excesses.
I then used heavy gesso and painted ring and dusted paper, adding some Tim Holtz walnut stain, as well as Prima Soft teal spray.

Then I added art stones with clear gesso

I took frame moulds and coloured using Nuvo Mousse copper.

I stuck down with hot glue.

Products Used:
Prima Flowers, Gauze, Prima snow paste

I so enjoyed doing this one!

This is my last DT project for Dusty Attic in 2017.

 WILD AND FREE

I must say I have had so much fun these last few months and feel extremely honoured to be part of this extremely talented team.
I am so looking forward to next year!!

Back to business...
I found this gorgeous photo on Pinterest and just had to use it!!
Even though I live in a hot climate this time of year, Christmas always reminds me of Snow, hot chocolate and warm fires!!!

I started with a blank canvas board, using Gathered twigs and walnut stain plus studio 490 metallic gold embossing paste. I then used studio 490 white embossing paste to created a snowy back ground.

White netting also helped with the snowy look.

Then using the Dusty Attic Doilies
 {which look like snowflakes}

painted white and sprinkled white glitter on while wet.

I looked to nature for my sticks and found them on a Pepper Tree. to stop the peppers from falling off I glued then with hot glue and once dry dusted with Nuvo Glimmer, to give the feeling of snow.

I boarded the photo with the white embossing paste and added more white netting.
For the title I used Perfect Pearls Gold

Products Used:
Prima Zeal and blown Flowers
Pepper Tree Sticks

I hope I have inspired some?
Happy scrapping
and Happy New Year

Michelle Carrick
