Beautiful, Textured Door - Patricia Basson

Hello all my dear Blog friends...

Today I share another of my Pinterest Doors that is the inspiration for this month's Dusty Attic DT post...

Along with various Dusty pieces I also used paper from 49&Market. I used Tattered and Seeds of Love from the Vintage Artistry collection.

Using the Damask Stencil, I stencilled the background with Distress Oxides Iced Spruce and Black Soot. Spritzed with water and dried and added some random Grit paste as well through the stencil. I also used several layers of the following Distress oxides to build my background...Broken China, Fossilized Amber and Frayed Burlap.

The Corner Flourish #4 was Gesso'd and a little Distress Grid Paste was added on the leaves. To achieve the same Teal colour present in the photo, I mixed some Blue, Green and White acrylic paints and painted it on the flourish. I also touched the raised areas with a little Mystic Turquoise Antique Brilliance Wax.

After Gesso'ing the Brick Wall and Perforated Mesh pieces, I used the Patina and Rust past sets from Prima to treat the  chipboards.

The cute little Water Pump was treated as follows...Gesso...and then painted with Olive Green and Sandstone Coulourcraft Brusho's. After drying I added a little Grid paste and when dry some  Vermilion Brusho. Also added a gem 'water drop'.

The next few photos show the background before inking with the Distress Oxides and the steps of colouring the water pump.

These are the pieces I used from the
