I just love this months inspiration board from Dusty Attic! Perfect colors for me!! And just look at that photo - don't you want to be right there, right now?! I know I do!

Here's what I have created:

I have used papers from Lemoncraft, just perfect for this moodboard. I created the background using papers, mists, stamps and washi tape.

After layering pieces of paper, I put the Decorative Frame #1 (DA0207) on top of the resin frame from Prima. I did the same thing on the bottom left of my page, only with the mini Decorative Frame and a mini resin frame. All the chippies on this page was painted white, then I added some pink mist here and there as a finish.

Some close-ups:

Used the Foliage #5 (DA1295) in my large flower cluster.

The title chippie "Fantastic" is from the Wordpack #13 (DA1269). Amazing font!

Thank you for stopping by today!

xoxo

Handsome - Lizzy Hill

Hi there! Today I've got a Boy Page for you.
Just felt like getting my grunge on.
So out came the DIAMOND PANEL:
Firstly I used it as a mask, then filled it with silver pen doodling.
And outlined it with my SHARPIE fine marker [paint].
The chippy then got a spritz of black ink, followed by 2 coats of heat embossing.
I did the same thing with the GEO TAGS.
And with the ARROW BORDERS #1...
The title I spritzed with Heidi Swapp tinsel ink spray,
then added some white to define it:
Love that word! It comes in this WORD PACK #27:

So, here is my finished page:
I hope you find some inspiration in this page.
Thanks so much for checking it out

Here are some closeups of detail...
I started the canvas,by first giving it a coat of gesso, then storm cloud DA paint. Once that dried I did some stencil work.
My next step was to mist the canvas with Prima Color Bloom, pressed petal,& storm cloud spray mists. While the mists were still wet, I sprinkled on some Ranger Holographic Embossing Powder, then used the heat gun to cure the embossing powder....
I applied a coat of clear crackle on the sea grass & pewter liquid pearls on the heads of the seagrass. Once the crackle dried, I painted on some Shimmerz,Inklngz, Ruby Lost her Slippers.

I painted the wordlet Treasure with DA storm cloud, then clear crackle, then Ruby lost her Slippers...
I let the fish net panel raw, glued it on to the canvas, then glued some clear beads & mica chips onto the fish net panel...
I painted the Seahorse with DA paint  Oceana, then once that dried I made the lines using pewter liquid pearls, let that dry, then I glued on the tail (Flourish #8), I then painted on a thick coat of clear crackle. Once that had all dried I inked the edges, then used the storm cloud mist to bring out the cracks, added the Prima resin seashell, pearl & bling for the eye...

Thank you so much for taking the time to look,& I am looking forward to seeing what you come up with, with this months Mood Board.....Rachelle

Fly - Joanne Bain - September Mood Board Inspiration

Hi Peeps!

Joanne here today sharing my latest creation created for the September Dusty Attic Mood Board Challenge. The challenge  has an amazing prize of a $100 Dusty Attic Gift Voucher for the winner and to enter you simply need to use the Mood Board for Inspiration, you can interpret it anyway you like. The only requirement is that Dusty Attic chipboard is used in your creation. Once completed simply add your link to the right side bar of the Dusty Attic blog.

So this is the September Mood Board.

Aren't those colours divine? The colours were the main inspiration for me for this month.

And this is my take on it..

'Fly'

I painted all chipboard with gesso and then painted in different shades of grey. Once dry I then lightly sponged white over the top to give a mottle white effect.

I played with the wings again, wetting and pulling them apart. I love this little effect makes them so dimensional.

I added some contrasting cotton thread and then splattered a brighter shade of pink to make the layout pop, just a little as I wanted the page to still have a soft feel to it.
