Happy Memories - Michelle Van Oudtshoorn

Hello!

And welcome to October - can you believe, it's October?! I have a layout created for the blog today.

I have used some of the older pieces of chipboard - just shows how amazing this chipboard is, it was amazing then and is still amazing now! I have created this layout using paper from the Scrapboys.
All the chipboard was painted with green acrylic paint.
I added the framed photo to the page with foam tape in the centre, so I was able to tuck the chicken mesh (D0177) under - I cut this into a bigger piece and a smaller piece - the bigger piece used under the paper and photo and the smaller piece under the small cluster on the left.
I the added fussy cut flowers and paper flowers to create clusters and added the leaves (DA0508) in the clusters.
I then added the title "happy Memories" (DA0732) - and added glossy accents to the title.

These are the products that I have used:

Thanks for visiting the blog.

Hugs,
Michelle

Living the Dream - Rikki G - Mood Board Inspiration

Good morning, its a been a minute hey? I tell you when things go off track they go off track, and technology has been testing me for sure , so after a my old computer finally died, that's not after getting a technician to look at it to try and save all my files, which thankfully happened, it died. So the process of creating a new computer and then the wait for it to arrive.

Well it arrived and I am back baby and now comes the task to get back on track and get blogging again, I promise I have been creating plenty, so I will have plenty to share especially with the amazing Dusty Attic chipboard, and what's better than that?

So there is still a few days left to create and pop your entry in for this months moodboard? Have you entered before? or a little scared? Let me know in the comments below......

So here's this months moodboard.....

So I was a little bit inspired by this month moodboard but its one of those layouts that kinda evolved on its own.... I love the green and that was my start point get the teal, the green, the forrest green and see where the creative journey would take me....

I am a little bit in love with the 49 and Market papers and have been hoarding the stash but I decided thats not the point of scrapping right?

So to start this layout, I start with creating the design knowing that I wanted to create a hidden folder, once the layout was created its all about adding the chipboard pieces....

As you have noticed by now I love having my Dusty Attic Chipboard pieces painted white I love this effect because you focus on the details of  the chipboard, it really show cases them.

Once the Dusty Attic Chipboard is placed then its onto the finishing touches like rhinestones and rubons.

Close together ... - Adri Du Preez

Hello everyone!

I am sharing my June design team layout with you.  My layout features a selection of beautiful Dusty Attic chipboard pieces.  I used pattern paper from the 49 and Market Naturalist Collection.

These are photos from our family shoot in March. One of the photos shows my daughter and her family facing the hill where her childhood home is.  Many happy memories were
made there.

Here is my layout.

All the chippies were first covered with a layer of white gesso,  except for the little house from the Main Street collections and the mini chicken wire.

I adore this title, and it is perfect for my layout and so very true. The title was dry brushed with Americana Acrylic paint in Peaches 'n Cream, Melon, and
then white acrylic paint.  The cute stemmed hearts were painted with Americana Acrylic
paint in Pineapple.

I dry brushed the house and chicken wire with Americana Acrylic paint in Burnt Umber
and True Ochre.

The grass clusters were coloured with Ranger Distress Oxide in Vintage Photo. Moved
 Lawn and Crushed Olive.

The Foliage #17 was also painted with Americana Acrylic paint in Arbor Green and
dry brushed with white acrylic paint.

The Laurel Sprigs and Branches and Berries were also painted with Americana Acrylic paint in Hauser Light Green, Arbor Green, and Melon and dry brushed with white acrylic paint.

The mini scrolls and Foliage #26 were painted with white acrylic paint.

The final touches to this layout included art stones and splatters with diluted white gesso.

Dusty Attic products used.

Thank you for visiting the blog today.

Happy crafting!
